I agree with this. Harsh as it sounds I am not sexist but he is right! They will find Ultras to be difficult to pull off. They even find mashing punch for Blanka’s electric difficult. Girls don’t do many fast movements with their hands other than the few who type and stuff. I’ve had a few girls who get tired doing a hand job.
If a girl says she is interesting in learning SF4 she most likely only wants to see what the fuss is about and if she can beat you after 10mins practice. She does not mean she wants piano type lessons and tutorials that will take 70+ hours of practice for her to reach G2 in Champ Mode.
And yes. Most girls have only ever touched their brother’s controller. And that was some old console from years ago!
Anyway, even if you did get your girl to a point where she can pull off all the moves, she still won’t be able to hack the mind games. Girls are selfish beings and they don’t really adapt well to changes and stuff. All they will be trying to do is that one move and they will rage quit when they get owned or their move misses.
I have a few girl gamers on my friend’s list. None play SF4 but all rage quit at other games. That is their nature.
I dont feel lucky when I want to buy a new TV and her reply is “Lets play VF5 and that will decide if we get it or not” and she perfects me in 5 straight matches with that damn monkey chic.
True, we do have tempers. I’ve done my share of ragequits as well. Doesn’t mean I give up forever.
False, we are perfectly capable of precise hand movements. I’d say my learning curve is better than most guys, it’s all in what you’re able to get used to.

Bottom line is the skill gap only comes down to the amount of time dedicated, not some predisposed defect based on gender. And contrary to the general consensus here, there are females who might enjoy games as a hobby, and seek to improve their skills just like the rest of you.

Gamer isn’t a gender, it’s a personality type. There are people who are naturally better at games than others, but gender is not where the line is drawn.
The only difference is that American society at the moment deems it unwomanly to play a videogame. Once we catch up to the rest of the world in terms of how our culture views videogames as a whole, that view will rapidly change.
Plus, I do totally forget to put the toilet seat down a lot.
For me maybe yes. But I like the ‘loneliness’. All my friends irl are not into gaming and they are all annoying. Always asking for favours and trying to get me out to parties.
I chose to be ‘lonely’ because it is less stressful. I might as well be around the online people who have the same interests as me. I’ve had my share of girls. I still do get my share. I just don’t chase them down the street and give them all my attention because most girls are dirt.
