It’s a mistake rating players from online replays is all I will say.
Yep, he has very good execution, That Guile is not really putting up a fight though, if you see some of my matches i look supreme (even i get surprise) but all of those are against people that are not that good either, he got the optimal situation for links and throws, but optimal situations are exceptions.
Good Dictator though 4/5
I love his aggressiveness, its the way I play. He has really nice setups in the corner cross ups with CS.HP. I normally dont use it like that but Im going to start after watching that video. Really good Dictator. I rate him a 4 out of 5, since the Guile he was playing seem not to fully understand the matchup.
Imo in this case I think PP can be used as a decent measure of skill.
Yes, I know online can often be fraudulent, and there are plenty of players that can get to 3000+ just by mastering braindead autopilot setups…but this dude had broken 5000. that’s the kind of PP you see on legit pro players when they play online.
9000 BP and 5000 PP means he basically NEVER loses. even if some of his PP is split up between his seth(thus why he only has 9000 BP on bison despite his massive PP)
on a character like Bison, that is VERY impressive. I’m not saying he’s like Dogura’s level or anything, but this guy is pretty clearly a top class Bison player.
He plays Bison like I think he’s meant to be played: an annoyer. he puts pressure on you, and just pounds on you till you start to panic. then when you try to do something, it’s met with a foot to the face.
the stress and frustration of having everything you do get stuffed out builds, and you start making more mistakes. and the punishes get bigger because of it.
Bison tests the PLAYER, not the character. as we saw, even though Guile as a character has an advantage against Bison, and the Guile player clearly knew how to play him, he got caught in the Bison’s mindgame. he put the pressure on him and started forcing him to make risky moves. pressure builds, frustration ensues, and it gets worse.
The thing you always gotta remember about real play is that you’re not fighting a CHARACTER. you’re fighting a HUMAN controlling a character. regardless of what the match says on paper, if you can mindfuck the person playing said character into making mistakes, the matchup ceases to matter.
4 out of 5, due to playing risky and falling for every of Guile’s throws.
