How to use the TE stick?!

I’m having a lot of trouble focus cancelling a heavy cannon spike. My DP motions come out as QCF and my QCF come out as DP. On the plus side I’m getting to know my normals much better. :stuck_out_tongue:

I use my middle finger for hk and then immediately use my index for mk and swing my middle finger up to the mp to go into the FA.

i would just try many different variations until you find the one that suits you best.

I always wondered I was so much more efficient on P2 side. Now I know! I thought I was just weird lol

Yeah i was wondering same until i found out.
That side is still not 100% as good as p2 side tt

YESSSSSS! lol I’m pretty excited, just completed hard trial 1 with cammy with my new TE stick  I instantly switched my title to “Delta Red”

Last night I changed my posture and my game came back almost like magic. I haven’t tried FADC again yet but my execution seems to be spot on again as long as I sit bolt upright. About the only thing still a little off is reversals. I always seem a frame too late.

Just mash earlier.

It COULD be a result of lag on your TV. What kind of TV are you using?

It’s on PC and I never had problems with my pad’s analog stick with reversals. I think I’m just being to gentle with the stick which makes my motions come out a little slower. I’m sure I’ll get the reversals back after a little more practice.

Hell with that, man! Beat the crap out of your stick! Hahaha. All the long time arcade players, even with their 120+ dollar TE Sticks, they bang the hell out of that thing. In fact, I find that the better the player is, the louder they hit their buttons. It’s weird. I HONESTLY believe that hitting your buttons really hard and loud is actually an in-person tactic now. Disguises a lot of shit you are doing.

I had the same problem. I used to slouch and all kinds of stuff. Recently I’ve been sitting upright and staying that way. I stay relaxed, but don’t slouch or shift position mid game. I noticed a huge improvement in terms of speed and execution.

As for TV lag, I’m pretty sure I experience that from time to time. I’m using an hd VIZIO.

So I think I’m going to sell my new TE stick if anyone is interested… I have come to realize I will be a scrub/flowchart for life.

^ been thinking about doing that myself… if my boyfriend hadn’t bought mine for me it would’ve already been gone lol

Hmm… still not getting any better with the joystick use, huh? Any particular areas I can try to offer up any more advice on?

!?!?!?!?!? Don’t sell your TE stick. It takes a good 2 - 3 weeks to get used to it. Send me a mesasge on XBL. I can go over some stuff.

It took me a couple of months just get to OK on a stick, just don’t give up as the practice pays off in the end. I made the mistake to begin with of just using the stick in practice until I felt I was ready with it and kept using the pad in matches, once I just started using the stick for everything and in my matches with friends (taking a lot of losses) everything improved rapidly.

I would also be prepared for off days as happens sometimes with the pad. Things will seem so much worse then.

In fact had one of those yesterday lol. At least I didn’t loose to Dan though.

Is there any transition moving from HRAP to TE, mostly because of the TE’s lack of a 1/4 inch slope from the front of the back of the stick?

Since the local store ran out of GAMEPADS (!!!) ,

I might get a stick afterall next month… if they confirm ssf4 for pc. w’ll see.

Going from analoge stick to fight stick is less of a shock i hope.

Naw, using a fightstick isn’t so bad. Just practice the down-forward, practice the srk move. Then move onto the Ultra/Super motion. Then practice the tk strike.

wut? where u got that info?
