Holy crap, I thought this combo was exclusive to Ryu, but it turns out that most of the cast can do it!

If there’s one thing i’ve learned about street fighter, never anticipate anything. React to everything. Fight in the moment, not 2 seconds ago, not 2 seconds from now… in the moment… i mean if you see the jump animation, and you know he’s coming in… yea why not? but anti-air metsu’s aren’t the best idea.
Edit: oh… shoryu… meh… more understandable now… but still.

If you don’t anticipate, how do you bait? Stop giving useless advice if you’re not even good at it yourself. Tactics, adaptations and other game plans are as important as reaction. You cannot react to everything 100%.

I’d rather do a big combo off a crumple and gain a bunch of meter than waste my ultra.
lvl3 FA , U2 = 493dmg
lvl 3 FA, sps , HP.srk = 341dmg
(or if you’re good with 1 frame links) add in c.HP before HP.srk = 389dmg

actually metsu shoryuken can cancel some of the recovery frames of a hadoken, which allows you to throw a normally unsafe hadoken and then punish thier jump-in with the ultra. This is actually a great way of landing it, and 8 frame startup on the ultra isn’t toooo bad…
