How to use gaming headset with arcade stick on Xbox one?

I can’t seem to find what I’m looking for. I want to use an arcade stick, but have the game audio through a headset. The arcade sticks don’t currently support headsets in any way and the wireless headsets I’m finding need to plug in to an xbox pad to function. Have any of you found a solution?

There really isn’t a solution at the moment.

Arent there any headsets that interface with an optical out from the xbox?

Optical out will give you game audio, but voice chat runs 100% through the chat adapter on the controller. You’ll need something that bypasses the adapter and broadcasts both the audio and chat wirelessly, similar to how the Tritton Warheads worked on 360. Like these:

They’re up for preorder right now and due at the end of October. I’m not aware of any other sets that do this yet, and believe me I spend a lot of time looking.

So what if i just settle for game audio only? what are my options?

If your priority is game audio only, you can just get an Astro Mixamp Pro and literally plug in any set of headphones you want. However, if you still want the possible ability to chat at some point, read on.

Wired is a bit more of a mixed bag. People generally recommend this:

However, I can vouch personally that they’re overhyped and uncomfortable over long periods of time (PR Rog was just complaining about them the other day, in fact). It only gets worse from there… unleeeeeeeeeeess, you do what I did, which is:
