Definitely plan to focus on Kitana and Reptile. They were my faves back in the 2D days and look as good as they did back then. Although I’ll have to wait until the demo is released Tuesday before I make any decisions to drop Blazblue or Tekken.
sub zero is more of the patient character. Mileena and Scorp are quite the rushdown characters. johnny cage is just meh. ill most likely be using Scorpion. ive already found a 51% midscreen, no xray combo with him.
i’m in your boat to dude about coming from SF4. difference is i played every mortal kombat casually at some point. so i had a better frame of reference as to why mk HAS to feel janky before it begins to feel competitive. my suggestion is to go back and play some UMK3 and MKvsDCU for a bit and then you’ll have some kno how of the execution. took me several hours of the demo for me to get it all together and start some kombo science in VS mode. i’m going nuts with mileena combos right now and trying to get her general strategy down before the game ships. i’m just hoping the combos i’ve been putting together don’t get taken out.
reptile in mk2, kano in mk 1, and kabal in mk3 were my favorites back in the day. also: Reptile was so hype back when he was a secret character.
