i still say sims best for beginners!!!
While Ive never been called good at cvs2, i placed about middle to low middle in local seattle tourneys years ago, I’ve got a guy at my work into cvs2. First by getting him interested in the game with all its little intricacies, then by letting him borrow my stick and game. 5-6 months later he’s just about at my level. And in turn we’ve each got someone else from work into the game.
The best help was jchensor’s cvs2 system faq. Then playing them matches with them, and not totally whipping em. This way they could see things they’ve just read about actually happen.
And i guess the most important thing is the desire to be good, with out that, its hopeless.
Oh yeah, I agree with don’t fight the AI. Doing so will make you shitter than you were before.
