Unless you are running a team built around Strange where you have two assists benefiting him i don’t see much reason to run him on point, he has low health, doesn’t serve as a good battery because his health and you might want to use vishantis leaving your second player with no meter.I prefer him in the second slot because he can come in swinging with impact palm and or vishanti, he’ll have more meter to play with, you can TAC into strange flame loops into decent damage, and I like to DHC my anchor in if things are going bad and play a little keep away with bolts, he has pretty good assists that can fit your team, combos in x factor lv2 don’t get me started just all around I love Doctor Strange in the second slot
ToDing people or building ridiculous meter for a DHC-god, since he doesnt waste any bounces while doing his combos and loops.
Other than that, nope
But you asked for good reasons, there are some in the beginning of the match Strange can jump air grab a lot of people since they’re not familiar with how good his air grab is, if your facing an opponent who’s team is built around the point character like let’s say a zero team you can really cripple that team by finding a good opportunity to land a vish anti and x-factor kill they’re point character.
Anywho here is a video of when I was playing some sets against hi’imnasty keep in mind I was extremely nervous and dropped a lot of good opportunities to deal good damage. I would LOVE to hear your guys advice, constructive criticism welcomed:)

Bah I can’t think right now.
brb
I really hope that VASaga isn’t just trolling.
Asking to win a major is a bit much when Strange hasn’t even won ANYTHING in major weeklies like Big Two and The Runback…
In America, it is mostly not about the character rather than who use it. That how it is when there are just handful of top players with shot for winning tourneys, as oppose to the Japanese community (for other games at lease) where almost every character has at least one recognized elite player.
He’s won our hearts. Isn’t that enough?
Oh, you card.
I think Combofiend won the last Runback with his new Nova/Spencer/Strange team. Mind you that it’s Combofiend and he could win a Runback with Nova/Spencer/RandomOne, and he was dropping the FoF a quarter of the time while Nova/Spencer did 90% of the work, but this should get the ball rolling for Strange in the US.
Still that nice, any links?
Click on videos -> “The Runback” on Oct. 26. These videos are usually 4+ hours long and I can’t tell you exactly when Combofiend’s matches start. Still, enjoy the show.
He’s setting up his Dr Strange exactly as how Nemo does it (Rush Crumple, Hard tag Strange, FoF loop). Biggest difference is that he’s using Strange anchor, and does Astral Magic alot more than Nemo (which Nemo should use more often).
He’s talked to me several times about Strange…
Flame-loops took a long time to be perfected by us (probably with the exception of Mazio), so its understandable.
Combofiend is the people’s champion. Him using Strange will make a lot of people go on and use him too, I think.
Yeah, Combo’s been known to take underused characters and bring them up mainstream so it shouldn’t come as a surprise if Strange becomes above mid-tier in the near future.
He’ll eventually get FoF loops down pat so that’s not what I’m looking for. What I want to see is him using Strange on point / a neutral game without the use of XFactor and still be succesful.
Nah, Strange is not his kind of point character… his point characters usually have a lot of health, a great slide and an overhead. Strange got neither of those.
What I meant was if he’s ever in a position that forces him to use Strange on point, like being down one character and he brings Strange in because his other remaining character is on life support, or his opponent continually snaps in Strange, etc.
I’d like to see in a competitive environment a competent Strange in a neutral stage of the game.
I understand. I never really see a non-gimicky strange in a neutral game. Not without X-Factor at least.
If you watched Tenboss, he probably has the best Strange for neutral and Nemo is actually getting there. However I did just recently watch Tenboss and it looks like he’s pushed Strange to anchor for point X-23. Weird lol.
X-23 and bolts is amazing, so it doesn’t sound like a terrible choice.
