Red parry is the worst absolute shit i’ve ever seen in a fighting game seriously, i’m pissed off right now.
do it back to them.
You’re playing offline? Red parry is overhyped. Online, it’s barely even possible.
You have to take chances.
YOLO.
Dude i can understand you’re pissed off online play but it’s not a resaon to say crap in all your post here.
I can red parry like 90% of blocked Jinrai or 80% of Yun 123 shoulder or anyother one not really tight. If you can’t, then it’s you fault for either being bad or to play on really bad condition, but stop blaming the game for all.
bait the red parry attempt dude, it’s also aint super easy to do
Good example
you suck and are predictable as hell if you are getting red blocked.Probably going autopilot as well.
play smart
jesus do you complain about everything
if you get red parried you go “good shit man” and learn how not to be predictable/do unsafe obvious shit next time
time spent complaining about characters and game mechanics is time spent not improving
Holy fuck the Eskimo finally has an avatar.
yup, felt appropriate
I wanted Dudley to be doing something like BSB while she was yawning but too much effort and multitasking required to go BSB -> Chun yawn -> print screen so this will have to do
You shoulda’ went with Eskimo Bob.
Look at animals fight. Everything they do is unsafe. Which animal wins then if it’s an even match up and they both have the same will to win? THE ANIMAL WITH THE STRONGEST INSTINCTS.
Use your instincts and know when to strike at the right time! When you’re opponent expects it the least.
everything is safe when you can read minds
throw
-boogers
snore
fart
scratch your ass
(Daigo copied Oro, not Blanka @CalPoly weird youtube there sleeping on a table <-- close enough to oro stuff too)
Oro is the greatest character, sorry Q.
HOLY FUCK YES.
i remember this shit when i was like 15…
his hispanic friend in green. that bird. the walrus.
Also this topic isn’t even in there, but your answer is in the Urien section.
You do realize that there’s like, no fundamental difference between red parry and every other kind of guard cancel mechanic? Such as alpha counters in the Street Fighter Zero series or just straight guard cancels in many ‘anime’ fighters. It can be done whenever regardless of meter and it allows you to do any move afterwards, giving you a larger variety of punishes - but essentially it’s the same thing.
What are you getting red parried? If it’s target combos then your mix-up game probably sucks, if it’s supers/specials then learn to hit-confirm.
Guard Cancels are 10X easier and are far more annoying when trying to get your pressure going. If I play anyone -even if they’re lame- and they manage to pull off a red parry they earn at least a little respect.
They might be easier to perform but my point is that their function within the game are exactly the same. Red parries don’t always warrant respect though. Some things are extremely easy to red parry, especially if the opponent has a terrible mix-up game. If I play someone and they end their target combos in the same way then I will pretty much always red parry them. Then there’s shit like red parrying Ken’s SA3 which is really when you get the timing down. That’s not really hard. I feel like a total boss whenever I red parry Yang doing normal xx EX slashes or something like that, though.
