What does it mean with “**If you’re doing the triggers:” . **What are triggers? I dont know where the problem is , but I have huge problems to understand this particular tutorial. Dont know if its only me or whatever, just dont get along with it, it doesnt seem to be a beginner tutorial (I can solder and have a bit experience with soldering on pcbs etc.).
I want to make a dualmod by using this pcb (cause it is common ground). I have a 6 button arcade stick layout. Is it possible to use this pcb without doing this resistor hex inverter whatever thing? I just want to solder the wires on it and be done.
And what I dont understand. There are 4 buttons on the front. ABXY and 2 buttons on the back R and L. How is it possible to have a 8 button layout with only 6 buttons on the controller available ?****
A, B, X, Y plus RB, LB, and 2 triggers make 8 buttons. If you don’t invert the triggers, you won’t be able to use the PCB in a dual mod setup (the triggers will be always on)
Ok now I think I understand. The triggers are the LT and RT button on the backside (shoulder buttons). First I thought there are only 2 Shoulder buttons RB and LB, but there are for (RB, LB, LT & RT (trigger)). I first thought the triggers are maybe the analog sticks.
Ok. When I only use the 6 buttons ABXY RB and LB and leave the Triggerplastic assembled, then I’m fine? The whole plastic contrstruction inhibit a constant activation of LT and RT ? Thats as far as I understand that matter.
Seems ok for me when its like that, I will try to purchase one of these controllers then.
Are there any other good controllers with comon Ground which are widely available (the fightpad is not available in europe as it seems, same for the brawlpad ).
Ive read of some kind of madcatz mini controller.
Of course they are available, and you should get a 360 Brawlpad or Fightpad instead of the old 4716 model which this thread is about.
The advantage is that you won’t need to invert the triggers, and the pcb’s are naturally much flatter (no pots or trigger plastic to mess around with).
Man thank you so much. I always typed in “Brawlpad” and never got results. No I found “Brawl Pad” at ebay.co.uk for 15€ thanks . No I can complete my Stick ^^.
Well the madcatz 4617 Xbox 360 game pad is pretty much out of production.
And other easier to pad hack controllers are available, like the Mad Catz Fight Pads.
The more experienced modders even gave up on the madcatz 4617 in favor of other, easier to modify game pads.
