Ive made one arcade stick before and I tried to implement a LED inside a hollow shaft to the joystick ball. But it only worked for a little while before the wire broke.
Now even if I ordered a ready made LED joystick from Paradise Arcade. How do I keep the wire from breaking? I’d still want to use the stick regularly without having to worry about pulling on it. Do I simply leave the wire for way longer then needed and hope it doesn’t twist? Reinforce connections on either end?
Is there a proper way to ensure durability with joystick LED’s?

They have a part, with wires that swivels. The Wires don’t tangle and break.
The other solution is make sure the wires and LED is loose inside of your joystick, but the electric swivel is a better idea

Ah right, the slip ring. That makes sense.

Now I see the slip ring… but where would I attach the slip ring? Just lead it inside as part of the wires, leave it hanging or do I attach it?
