d.LK, f+MP, do demon crazy fast
hide your jabs (in a dash or something), df+LK, f+MP~HP (I doubt this works)
the other is to hide your jabs in you d.LK, then do F+MP~LK~HP. But I guess you would have to do your jabs CRAZY fast, before your LK connects even so it doesn’t chain into jab.
I’d say it’s the first one.
Incidentally, close s.MP leaves you at good distance for kara demon.
try whiffing mk in the air and RAGE when you land, it works.

Drunken Master: You’re close, but your two setups both don’t work. =) While the first one will work in theory, nobody is fast enough to do that consistently.
Second one doesn’t work cause again, it’s impossible to do do buffer jabs in a c.lk without the jabs coming out as a chain.
The real method to doing it is pretty easy yet it requires you to understand the engine. I think Alphastorm made a thread a while about the engine feature in 3S that allows such a thing to happen, the one about the mp hp chain not coming out. Too bad people ignored him. You guys go figure it out by yourself, that shit is pretty sick once you get it down.
btw, close standing mp > kara-demon is very good as well, and less complicated.

Hold down hp. Walk up, do c.lk, then lp lp -> mp lk hp. The lps won’t come out, and you’ll get a c.lk, kara-demon. Try it for yourself. There is something about the 3S engine that when a button is held down, some chains won’t come out. Alphastorm made a thread directly relating to this once.
Alphastorm: "When I hold down HK, the MP HP chain for Ken doesn’t come out. Anyone know why?"
People: lololol you’re not doing it fast enough! remember to hold down the mp when you press hp or else it won’t work I dunno cause it usually works for me maybe you need more practice.
That’s pretty sad IMHO. Not trying to come across as an ass, but if people didn’t think they know EVERYTHING about the game, they’d find out there’s alot of neat stuff they’d be able to learn if they messed around with it.
Messed around with it a little today. Thanks! Its much better than what I expected. I’ll need to practice a little more so I can use it as part of my regular game. Dash/Dashkara/crossover/wakeup/antiair/short demon. I think thats a pretty good demon arsenal for now.

Edit: By the way, the hp at the end of the demon sequence can be done by negative edge right? o.O; I can’t try it right now but I will later :badboy:

i think i posted this before…
first: practice dash w/ two jabs (make sure jabs won’t come out)
and then: input --> lk,hp as quick as possible.
I find another good approach is to hide the two jabs in a dive kick: e.g. jump forward, down+kick at apex ( dive kick ) inputting two jabs in the descent, when you land -> + MP, LK, HK.
There are dozens of variations on cancelling into R.D. – don’t forget that R.D. can be cancelled into at nearly any point of any normal move (e.g. sweep, standing rh, etc), not just special normals (command overhead, fireball etc). It just so happens that the command overhead is usually the most useful.
