No problem. If you mean how to do it physically, you tap the higher priority button, then the lower priority button right afterwards. It sounds like an incredibly fast TAP TAP, but you do it very close to each other. It’s near pressing the button simultaneously, but pressing one just before the other. Find out what works best for you, i generally find that plinking is best with the middle and pointer finger for mp plinks (hit mp with the middle finger, lp with the pointer finger) and the middle finger and ring finger for hk plinks (hit hk with the ring finger, mk with the middle finger). You can plink with ANY lower priority button, but those i feel are the most suited for the ways the fingers work (this is more true for the ring finger since moving it downward will make your middle finger go down as well).

My situation is im atm the rank 1 rog on xbox, i believe I hit links in match that are prettier than any rog including pr rog(which imo will make me quite entertaining to watch), but am so broke i cant even afford a decent internet connection to continue to play.
To make myself seem like im not a random retard full of shit examples of play that i found on youtube.

Congratulations on being a father! IMO the amount of traveling you need to do, to “become” well known is in no way conducive to being an active father and this will need to take a backseat. My advice is to see what’s local both small tournaments and big tournaments. Do your best to play on as many streams as possible. You could also crowdfund/crowdsource. If you were going to EVO i could set you up with a spot to sleep very cheap, but that’s about it.

Also, PR Balrog didn’t ‘make a name for himself’ by hitting tight links and styling on opponents… He did so by consistently beating high level competition (OFFLINE) smartly and efficiently - reactions, knowing all punish situations, matchups, counters.

Maybe i should have just put “i dont have time or money so what is the easiest way to make a name for myself” in order to allow those who were facepalmed into the ground as an infant and/or were merely skipped by natural selection.

Let’s be absolutely honest. Gootecks, Mike Ross, Justin Wong, PR Balrog - no one would care about these people unless they succeeded at beating offline competition and very well known as well. That is the ONLY way. No one would watch Excellent Adventures, no one would would be subscribed to their channels etc. I thought this was pretty obvious.
No one gives 2 shits about someone who hasn’t proved themselves. This applies to everyone, same as if I wanted to “make a name for myself”. I honestly thought this was obvious. If you don’t have the competition then you obviously have to travel and if you can’t do that, you get the picture.

Pretty much the same, gimmicks are more powerful. He’s better unless you used u2.
Balrog himself wasn’t changed to much, but new game mechanics make his bad match ups not as bad as before.
If that’s the case then I am obviously trash at this game. I’ve gotten way worse since Ultra dropped.
so what viable combos does balrog have that uses red focus ?
In short none, damage/stun output is still greater with known big boy combos, red focus combos use more meter for less damage but for less execution.
combo into mp.dash punch xx RF TAP, Ultra or just Ultra. hp.ds FADC cr.lp, cl.hk into whatever still does more damage/stun for the same or less meter but requires more execution, and big boy combos don’t work on everyone in every situation.
cr.mp xx mp.ds xx RF (crumple) works on everyone except Poison I believe.
There are certain edge cases where it doesn’t work though. For instance, cr. Mp xx mp dash straight sometimes doesn’t combo when punishing Chun’s ex. Sbk on block.
I’ve got some problems with Rog’s ultra 2. I wanna learn it for punishes. So I also play Hakan a little too so I’ve got the circle motion down it’s just the 2 circles that’s got me stuck. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.
Balrog’s got fewer pre-jump frames (frames where he’s considered both grounded and airborne at the same time). So the moment you press an Up motion (up+forward, neutral up or up+back), Balrog will almost immediately jump. I think it’s still possible (a standing 720), just much harder than say Hakan. But buffering the 720 during blockstun is cake (for the most part) so generally anything that’s -1 or more, can be punished on block with U2, esp now because of its range. This isn’t always true, there are some cases where this won’t be true.
You can punish Balrog’s TAP on block, record balrog doing TAP, then holding up during the animation so he jumps as soon as possible. After you block TAP, just meat spin the 720 and then press PPP. It doesn’t even have to be a reversal.
Hey guys, I’m still kinda new with Balrog. How do you guys deal with people who stand-tech on wakeup? When I get a throw and do a tap and try to do a meaty jab, I get throw out of it a lot. It’s bothering me lol
