Does anyone know how create images like these with the black borders and subtitles? Since they are quite prevalent, I assume they can’t be too hard to do. If some program is required, please provide steps as to how to run the program and arrive at a finished project. If there is just a website that can do this for you, that would be even better.
Also if someone can help me (and others) out with this, can the ‘tutorial’ also be posted in one of the stickies?

These are simple Photoshop images. Nothing hard at all about these. I suggest using Youtube tutorials to get you started, since you seem pretty new to this kinda thing.
-Open Paint and find a good size for the canvas [go to IMAGE->ATTRIBUTES and set the height and width. A good size you can start out with is 600x400, or manually drag it out to something you like]
-Use the Paint Bucket tool and paint it black
-Find an image you want to make into the motivational/demotivational poster on the net and copy it [right click the image and COPY]
-Go back to Paint and CTRL+V to paste it. Before you press anything, when the image is first placed you can manually move it to where you think the center is [make sure the image you use isn’t bigger than the starting canvas. If it is and you need to enlarge the canvas, just do the ATTRIBUTE thing again or manually drag it out and paint anything black that isn’t black]
-Use the box outline tool [here’s where you can find it] and choose WHITE as your color and drag a border around the image so it looks like the images you posted above]
-Use the TEXT TOOL option and put your text in all caps under the pic
-Use the TEXT TOOL option again and put the sub underneath the all caps text

She just popped up in Trailer Park Boys so I used her as a picture.
Another way you could do it in PS is holding SHIFT whilst using the pencil tool. It’s not that hard to get even a decent looking border with that method.
