I got myself an XBOX and XBL finally, and I want at least one online fighter to hold me over till SF:AE, and since I suck balls at GGXX and never really got into it, I might as well get SvC for kicks. Is there a decent amount of people online, or is it barren? Thanks.
EDIT: Now that I think about it, I’ll pick up GGXX just for the hell of it too. Is it popular online too?
AE doesn’t seem to have that many people playing, can take a while to get a game, probably improve once its officially realeased in US though. Still its fun, don’t give a shit about the old skool sf2 side of it though
Doau has lots of players but the game is just plain shit so who cares, got better things to do then play that silly scrub game
svc is a joke of a game, probably sold like 10 copies, especially at $50, fuck playmore
ggx2 was thinking of buying, but everyone says its unplayable shit. I don’t wanna fork out 20 to find out its unplayable. I kinda like ggx2 too, typical, fuk sake
GG2X is really good off-line On-line it is alright. You do have to wait for a match for a while and be ready to fight Sol a lot. I have had little to no lag in the games I have played.
CVS2 plays alright on-line as well. Once again I have little to no lag on it. Be ready to fight Blanka a lot on this.
DOA:U Plays very good on-line and has a great matching system. The games I have been in have been little to no lag here too unless I pick a game that has a crappy connection. It is revamped DOA2 and it plays better than any other DOA game (but it still has a ways to go to touch VF4 or T5). Be ready to fight Ayane, Kasumi, Ein and Jann Lee a lot here.
I have SVC but I have yet to try it on-line (I have been too sick to play on live lately). They did fix a lot of the problems the arcade version had it in it. It plays a lot like an older KOF title. (like 95 or so) and should have been more polished. But I am a big fan of SNK and Capcom so I love it anyways warts and all.
(Note I am using Road runner as my ISP and I directly connect my Cable model to the X-box when I go on live so your mileage may vary)
There is some better balance to the game, they took out the infinites (that I have tried so far Zeros for example), and the control is a little tighter form the arcade version. The graphics are a cleaner now as well. However I can tell you that Athena is game breaking and the music could have been a lot better. The controls are tighter but not as good as those in CVS2 or even MOTM for the NGPC for that matter.
Also they gave Dan a few new moves so that gets a
