I can think of 10 people off the top of my head that are over 35 that still play regularly…I’m 33 and I was the second youngest person in my area when SF2 was played at every place imaginable.

Just talking ages of people playing now…
Bill Gould has to be pushing 40 by now, I know Omni and Cole are older than me by a year or so…Maxstah and Omar in VA have to be around my age or older…

If you notice, the older players don’t jump up and play the new games competitively all the time with the exception of Cole who seemingly plays everything =P

“Top” players in ST…the youngest for ST is probably Afro Legends/DSP/Justin/NKI I don’t think any of those guys are older than 25…

Cole I think is 34, Choi 32, Valle 30, Jason Nelson 32, Wolfes 32-33, Jeff Schaefer has not played competively in years…but he has to be around 35-36…Mike Watson is only 31-32…

Also, Stevetren is an OG and former top SF player. I think he is in his mid-thirties.

Damn, I’m 24 and ST has been my main since I was 15. Do I have to wait another 9 years to be good?

This month soon I will be 28. Once May rolls around it will be 7 years competing on srk, and now im in my prime! Im the Curt Henning of SRK truly enough! Much of my admiration goes out to him and Bret Hart in terms of being excellent at everything you do even if you dont win ALL the time. I always myself of that all the time.

Big up to all the Og’s who are still going strong and to my boy Sanford Kelly who’s kept me sharp since 1995!

I’m willing to bet that there isn’t a single fighting game he’s good at. He claims to be unbeatable in The King of Fighters '98 Ultimate Match, Battle Fantasia, and Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe, among other things. The fact that this guy is talking about his skill in Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe is laughable by itself, to be honest.

I still love that game, though.
