I visit this thread once every few weeks. I find it enlightening/entertaining and useful all at the same time.
BTW, hope you guys have fun testing our new stuff. They all perform better based on the testing methods used in the OP.

I wouldn’t mind testing a limited edition - numbered TE2+. Got any plans for those in the pipeline? Perhaps another EVO stick, maybe? My collection wouldn’t be complete without one of those sticks.
.
The change from Fightstick Pro to TE2 has been amazing to see.
New TE2+ , TES+ and Alpha…is that they share the same pcb?
Three are faster than (old) TE2 ?
It 's a good new , cause touchpad seem to be usefull in SF5 and i was afraid than the TE2+ like Hori fighting stick touchpad version add more lag.
Now if you make a TE2+ with some green , Laura’s version keep me the 0001.
Really glad to hear this. I was worried that the touchpad might make the new Mad Catz sticks laggy as well. I’m really keen on getting a TE2+.
hey guys, i’m completely rehauling the inside of a stick this coming week, and am looking at cost effective options… and didnt want to make a new thread regarding this so i tried putting this question in the most appropriate thread.
Has anybody tested out http://www.focusattack.com/ps3-pc-zero-delay-usb-encoder-pcb-japan-style-controls/ ?
I know it says Zero delay or whatever, but i mean… you never can be too sure about these things, and theres no name attached to this product, so I dont trust it without first talking to you guys about it haha
What i’m thinking is if this thing is legit, going this PCB + Brooks Converter
Well. I’ll give my Two cents. Awhile ago (like when this thread was first posted) I was using a madcatz SE, bought a VX SA. I did notice a difference, I was able to consistently reversal more in ST on GGPO than I did with the madcatz SE. I’m not sure if windows would differ from 360 though. It would be nice if PC was tested. Would also like to know how dreamcast is with the ps360+ according to his testing procedure.
I’m a Honda player, and I piano based on visual confirmation (c. lp into fierce hands, and, if distance allows it, c. lp again, into fierce hands, then s. hk). I do have a harder time when I use the VLX Kuro compared to two Xbox360 sticks of mine (HRAP VX SA KAI and the Hori Tekken Tag Tournament 2 one). Since whether I succeed or fail is extremely timing-sensitive, I dare say one frame is critical for me (the window is a few frames long, but the pianoing is tough for me). I realize much of this is constrained by limitations of my own execution as a player, since I barely make it when I succeed, but in any case it’s very nice to get all the technological excellence I can. I play USF4 on the Xbox360, PC and PS4, varying among Arcade models and parts.
Teyah, would you please test the Brook Universal Fighting Board? It would be truly very much appreciated.
: D
Darksakul, seriously? Apparently lower stick lag has no effect on hitconfirms now?
Leave him alone guys, he’s a casual.
@Teyah please please do Brook Universal fighting board. Everyone is keen on that.
This, just curious to see the results, athough it wont stop me from getting it. I need to mod my 360 TE for tournaments as Im in the UK now
Send him the board and I’m sure he will gladly do it.
Under the PS3 results, what does “PS4 mode” for various controllers mean?
I wish I had one to send to him, in all honesty
Sticks that are PS3/4 cross compatible work on the PS3 in either PS3 or PS4 mode. I believe all PS4 controllers are backwards compatible with the PS3. I’ve seen many people use DualShock 4s on some PS3 setups at tournaments here.
Im upset I saw this thread. Im going to be thinking about this all night, lol. Based on these results, time to swith to DS4! =)
Ds4 is terrible as a padhack.
This thread sucks, lol.
I’ve done some of my own testing. One question i need answering. In ps4 gg xrd: How come one pcb did better getting counters when testing kick at face to face, but if I moved the characters back a bit the other pcb had more counter hits.
And more so, at a very far distance I could spam kick and they would cancel each other, like a tech throw? Like I could do it for 100 times a row with no winner.
Might have to do with the game’s driver, possibly p1 vs p2 advantage, possibly polling rates being different and falling on different timings… This is why a more scientific raw output of the PCB is a far better option for this type of thing. Trying to use a game as a control creates a huge chain of variations you have no knowledge of plus no control over.
I agree the DS4 is one of the hardest PCBs to pad hack, definitely not a beginners mod.
