How much does your arcade stick lag? Arcade stick input lag testing & results thread

I have a question.

So my arcade stick is hooked up to my computer right now. I can start it in PS3 mode or Xbox 360 mode, as my PC has the drivers for both. The Paewang (according to the tests) has better results on the xbox 360 than the PS3. Does that mean the stick will perform ‘better’ in 360 mode than PS3 mode?

@Cagan The 360 vs PS3 results aren’t directly comparable until the +0.00ms reference is measured accurately.

Btw, I checked and the Paewang advertises a polling interval of 4ms in both modes. I would bet on them being nearly identical in performance, but I would probably use the 360 mode for better game compatibility.

It’s like flying vs flying.

Next thread. How much does your led lag in your video recording setup.

You jest, but this has actually come up before.

I’d love to know how much the lag lags when compared to the One True Lag.

Can someone make a new thread titled: Does your laptop lag?

I’ve been looking for a new laptop and I want a lag less one. Maybe we can start testing the various Macbook models then move on to the others; Dell, Toshiba etc

Buy a secondary CRT for it or LCD

Screw all that. What I want to know is, how much does your brain lag??

Seriously. I want to take a bunch of people and test their brains for lag. Hopefully we don’t have too many brains that are laggy. Well, that would explain a lot of non-sense that there are a lot of laggy brains out there. I want to find The One True Brain and see the difference between walking…

Seriously wait for it

You probably know where this is going…

and flying.

Stop bumping this useless thread please. Thank you.

Does your thread bumping lag?

You make fun of me for “flying” but you know who else flys?

Fluttershy. And you bet your ass that you wouldn’t make fun of her.

EDIT: Also, I know this sounds stupid but would it make a difference to use USB 3.0 to connect a stick to a PC that has it?

If you can easily see the difference in a few ms of lag why don’t you test both and see what’s better?

Stay away from 3.0 ports if possible. All these boards are 2.0 compliant but we’ve seen power issues on 3.0 ports.

But no, no actual difference would be had anyway.

Thanks. I was just curious about it is all.

Would there be any benefit in making a 3.0 board?

No, unless your controller/stick somehow sends gigabits of data by pressing a few buttons.

Fluttershy is too nice to tell you to get the hell out. Now Apple Jack on the other hand has no issues punching you in the face.
She hit you so hard it be like you are…

wait for it

FLYING

@PresidentCamacho‌ @Darksakul‌
Thank you!

@Moonchilde‌
I dont like xbox360 mode. PS3, P2, PC and DC modes are very good!

I will buy another PS360+, maybe it is a problem on my first PS360+.

Thank you!

Valle needs someone to tell him to change the ps360+ in his white Fighting Edge, he could be flying.
DRAMMMMMAAAAAAA

Confirmed. Brains have lag.
