How many losses can you take before you quit?

no limit on losses really if they’re legit. if they are skilled, it is good motivation to try and beat them or at least give them a challenge. whether it’s a round or a whole match. if i’m losing because of internet issues like lag, probably 5 or less, depending on how bad the connection is. the worse is when you see yourself doing say a throw animation and out of nowhere you see ken in his shoryuken pose knocking you down, as if that throw animation was all in your head. wtf moments like that will make you exit a room pretty quick sometimes.

I start feeling that I’m wasting the other person’s time around 0-10. And then I suspect sandbagging when I finally do get a win.

I think a healthier attitude is to regard outlasting someone who’s been kicking your ass as an accomplishment.

And ya I’ll definitely duck out after a match or three if the lag’s too bad. I figure if it isn’t fun for me, it can’t be much fun for my opponent.

The players who have given me the biggest tests of my temperament are:

wax631 - hyper fighter ryu vs my noob chun li (i went as far as the game deletion screen, wax made me really question whether i wanted to play streetfighter at all)

narcissus caesar - any version guile vs my precocious chun li (f–king destroyed me, game after game, month after month, but iam not a quitter).

zwire nl - hyper fighter ken - the most heartless beatings ever, 8 tick throws a round, massive combos, trash talking, more tick throws, 10-0 15-0 more tick throws and total domination, he never sandbagged EVER, he never gave a f–kin inch, totally ruthless shelackings, EXCELLENT.

Sharizord - vega vs chun, baaaaaad match up = a great challenge, not for the faint hearted (seeing as how i cant stick to a gameplan for long…).

^ I actually think not sticking to a gameplan is your best strength Guile75, LOL. I never have a clue what crazy thing your going to do next, LOL.

As long as the lag isn’t bad I always stick around, good or bad. Real life is what always cuts my sessions short :frowning:

i usually just liked to play first to 10 that way you have a set ending time. i almost never did rooms with more than 2 people because i hate waiting hahaha
