What fighters do you guys play on consistent basis, still perfecting your skills, on a quest to continuously learn and adapt until you’re the best around and nothing’s ever gonna keep you down? And what fighters do you play on occasion, that you know really well, you play it with friends, it’s not competitive to you, it’s just a matter of fun?
The one I’m still perfecting is 3rd Strike. I used to play pretty seriously about a year ago, and I’m trying to get back into it and move up from a C player until I’m at least B+ or A.
The ones I just play for fun and know enough that I’m comfortable at my skill level are Garou: MOTW and SS V Special.
I intend on perfecting my KOF skills when KOF XI is emulated, and when CVS 2, Hokuto No Ken, and Neo Geo Battle Coliseum go online (hopefully by 2012, cross your fingers).
Currently, I’m mostly just playing SF4, and a bit of Marvel. Sometimes I’ll be playing more. At one point I was playing 3S, SF4, Marvel, Garou, and LB2.
I’m still ass at both games. But one day, nothing’s gonna keep me down. It’s just that that one day isn’t in the near future as far as I can tell. Things are a bit cloudy.
Right now I’m mainly playing SF4, then Blazblue (CT and CS), then 3rd Strike. Also starting to pick up Guilty Gear AC again after taking a break for the last year or so. Also playing Vanguard Princess (no homo) whenever I’m in that mood for doujin games.
Well right now I play sf4 on xbl. But I’m picking up 3s again since like 6 years ago, and I’m picking up super gem fighter again. Both 3s and sgf on ggpo.

Currently BB and Darkstalkers with a little dabbling in SFIV (dunno why, damn thing even crashes my ps3 if I skip though post match screens too fast, just saw Destin’s Sakura guide and that video about Kara taunts and felt like playing) and Battle Fantasia (If only people played it online)
More BB then Darkstalkers though since my laptop is off to be repaired atm.
Edit: If MBAAFT gets released on a current console or pc I may take that up as well. (Or if I can dig out a little more cast to padhack and old ps2 pad I’ve just found whilst hunting for a usb extender)
…and eventually I will buy T6 after having rented it. I really liked it. Same goes for SSFIV whenever it finally comes out. I’ve only seen videos of SFIV and of Super, and I’m glad I never bought SFIV after what happened with Super coming so soon. Looks hella fun.
I play 3rd Strike either on GGPO or at the arcade pretty much every day. I play ST on GGPO at least once a week for a couple hours. Been on and off with Tekken 6 a bit, but its not getting enough play as my main games. I don’t play SF4 at all unless I’m hanging out with friends. Also been practicing Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure a bit with some of the guys on GGPO but haven’t been able to play as much as I like lately when they are going at it. That’s about it really.
i like to be competitive. and I am not talented enough to be good at more then 1 fighting game at a time maybe if i was younger and diddnt have a job and such. But right now i could only focus on BlazeBlue. If i had more free time id play alot more. but i guess the same could be said for all of us
A lot of 3s and CvS2 with a friend here since everyone else always wants to play SF4 but we’ll have BBCS in the area so maybe the new version can bring me back in (I wasn’t too into the first) but yeah, those 2 games and UMK3. Gotta get better for when Tim Static brings that arcade machine to SB5 or some random Ohio tournament I hope to end up at
But mostly ST. All day. For hours. and a small dose of T6.
Been playing SF4 almost exclusively lately, but when school starts I will probably be dabbling in many games. Guilty Gear is my favorite, but often you can catch me playing Alpa 2, Marvel, and 3rd strike. When I get a PS3 I will probably try to be more competitive in Tekken 6 also. Since I got a stick, Ive really been interested in learning Samsho 2 and Darkstalkers but I havent had too much time to delve into them like I want to.
