Very impressive.
thanks for all the kind words guys. We slaved over that tutorial dvd for months prior to release. In fact, there was a time when Sony almost screwed us over by delaying the release of this tutorial for you guys. Luckily, we pushed Sony to the brink and luckily, everything paid off. There was soo much left on the cutting room floor for this DVD tutorial, it isn’t even funny. However, that being said, we’re already forumlating a new DVD tutorial, just like any fighting game, people figure out new strats and combos, especially from Japan. So the next DVD will even be more detailed, with update to strats, max dmg combos, situational combos, and frame data.
Thanks for the support guys
The dvd was very helpful, haku-men was a character i wasnt planning on using, after watching the dvd i saw the possibilities and he is now my main. using the dvd in conjuction with dustloop and srk has helped me immensely.
the dvd was a lot more helpful than i initially thought it was going to be. I popped it in thinking it would be full of garbage advice, but turned out to be a pretty good resource pretty much all the way through.
to aksys:
im a retail manager out in hawaii and i have been pushing this game like crazy…word of mouth and good reviews have helped but when i put this LE box in somebodies hands and tell them its regular price. that usually seals the deal, i cant tell you how much me and my customers appreciate this LE box.
Is that going to be free.lol.
Yeah, I don’t want to ask, but I must. How are we going to be accessing it? DLC?
I found the videos very beneficial. At least watch it for Tager’s since Mike Z is the man.
I’m surprised nobody has mentioned all the matches they included in the extras section. That was far and away the best part of the DVD in my opinion.
I was only bummed that not all the characters were played…
I didn’t even know about those matches. Nice.
Aksys: Do you have a street date for the additional DVD tutorial? That would be an automatic purchase for me.
Also, a price would be nice as well. Like KnyghtFall said, instant purchase.
I was bummed at first, since the copy I first got had the dvd with problems. I couldn’t watch it, I would stick it in and it would end up going back to my menu. But returned it for a new copy. And when I finally saw it I was surprised at how useful the video was. I am satisfied with it quite well. I took some advice for Arakune, who I’m not maining, and helped me play him on a decent level. I main Haku-men though. LOL
The hardest thing with learning this game IMO is learning when you can and cannot do stuff. Like I’d have Ragnas go berserk and its just lots of sword slashes and that overhead kick and I just don’t know when I can press a button so it just feels like it goes on forever into infinite counter hits and death. Then you start understanding what the moves do, so you actually learn what Ragna’s dragon punch looks like or that Jin’s ice sled has bad recovery on block and you can regain momentum with a light attack and you start doing better and get control of the match.
Watching other character’s strategy vids off the DVD will help you get a feel for what some of the key moves look like.
Still don’t know what the hell is going on when I fight Noel though.
Instructional Video Does Not Work for Me
Have a ps3 both the music discs work however the bonus instructional disc just does not load up. Has anyone else had this problem?
It’s just a DVD, put it in any computer or something.
It didnt work in computer either, anyway i think the ps3 disc is blu ray as that what it says. I exchanged the game at the store and now the disc works. Have heard there are quite a few faulty ps3 bonus discs from searching on the net
I’m sure it wont be free, but don’t worry they wont rip you off for it. they were selling blazblue folders for 1$ before.
Only video to watch is the Mike Z one. If you don’t, you will only do weak american damage.
Yeah that’s what I was worried about, getting a faulty Bonus Disc. When I opened mine up the middle of the disc looked warped/awkward and the edges of the disc were curvy. Luckily, it still played but the disc wasn’t in great condition.
My disc won’t play in a friend’s PS3, but it plays fine in mine.
Much Like Communism, the A button Tager Buster is INVINCIBLE!!.. For a while.
