Kawaks is even worse, it desyncs with almost all Neo Geo games except Garou and a few others.
I play Last Blade 2 on 0.64 everyday with almost 0 problems, and KoF2k2 is one of the most played games on MAME.
Switch to 0.64 and you shouldn’t see anymore problems.
Yes. The only game that I know of (altho, I don’t play much neo) that has problems in mame32k 0.64 is SSF2T. I don’t think I’ve ever played more than 10 games of SSF2T online, without it erroring, disconnecting or hanging.
I do have another question though, what are the best video options to use for mame? I always use triple buffering, but do I need to enable some more options? Perhaps something in the vector menu?
Vector only applies to games that use vector graphics. Check under the ‘Type’ column in Mame’s game list window to see what uses what (majority is raster).
In fact, if you go to the left side panel in mame32k, there’s a folder of games that used vector graphics. Not too many, and most of them are pre-1985.
Also who can I set aspect ratio to 0.64? When it runs a game the size is 300x200 or something like that and when I re-scale it, it just makes it taller or wider.
Is there any way to play newer versions of Mame, IE, version .9 I believe (the newest one) without having to use a command prompt? I can give a shit about online play, but there is no way I’m typing commands into a gay prompt to play everytime. I’m computer illiterate and need a dumbed down GUI thank you very much.
Abridged question: Can I play the newest Mame from a GUI (graphics user interface IE point and click not type in commands).
Not sure which version I’m using now but I’d love an updated one. Games like Radiant Silvergun and Raiden II don’t work and it’s pissing me off.
Fuck it because the games I want to play (Various Model 2 and 3, Saturn S-TV, Raiden II, etc.) still aren’t supported even by the newest versions. And I’m running the old and grey .64.
Also I found this while searching and found it interesting:
“This will never work. For reference only.”
Ouch. Capcom got hardcore with the encryption after SFII and CPSII so I guess we’ll never see SFIII emulated
