I’m actually talking about a sticky A button on my Saturn controller, but I imagine the same techniques that would work on 30mm Sanwas would work for me. I’ve been rapid-firing bullets in Bionic Commando Rearmed, and the button doesn’t always come up when it’s supposed to. How do you fix this sort of thing? I can’t even figure out what would have caused it. If the button is catching on some of the plastic around it, I suppose I could try to sand it down a little, but I’m not sure why it’d start now all of a sudden.
i spray electronics cleaner when my buttons get sticky. i just let it seep into the cracks and it dries with no residue. i am a noob with electronics, but its been working for me without issues so far.
Would that work? Bear in mind, I’m not talking about actual “stickiness,” like I spilled Coke on the thing or something. It’s just that after 12 years in a closet and heavy use for the last month or so, the A button isn’t going down and up as smoothly as it did.
Take the controller apart and clean it, make sure the connections are clean too and it’ll be fine.
