How do you change controls in endless battle

hey sometimes in an endless battle, i need to change my controls for another character. How do I do that without leaving the endless battle?

You can’t. Unless you have another device with a pre-set button layout on it, you cannot.

Why exactly would you ever change controls between characters?

It makes doing certain combos easier. What comes to the top of my mind is mapping an extra H.p for E.Honda combos. Sometimes it’s easier to have an extra button instead of mashing.
