How do I stop getting sweeped?

oddly enough, Im playing Gouki almost as much as her these days…

lol

lol

If it helps any jump forward and neutral jump have fewer start up frames than jump back.

I understand I think. the worst is when you get beat by kanipan because you stuck out a normal / crouch tech :frowning:

Crab punch creates miracles

And jump back can = 2 Chestos from being scared / have to get out of that there Karakusas.

but I got told about range Makoto covers, be outside of it, that general area. Easier said than done but its there to work on thinking about it then make it second nature later.

worst feeling is thinking an overhead is coming, standing up and then being swept by his slow ass sweep while you’re still waiting for a ridiculously fast overhead. it always seems like you have time but then suddenly you don’t.

Nothing’s due nub! Did you get the text I sent?

Playing against Dudley will teach you that you can’t react to a 15 frame sweep but you have to see a faster overhead coming.

Sorry for the double post, but I can’t stress how serious I am when I say that, because it’s true for the most part. I’ve been caught more by crab battles than playing darts, it’s annoying.

You develop your brain to react to his mid to the point where you just forget about his low(or your reactions to his low are worsened) and your whole world turns flip flop. Even if he’s outside that f.HK range you try to react high and look like butt as a result. So I can understand that it’s harder to actually do than say. You’re just going to have to keep at it and stick by the “block low react high” strategy.

I wrote about some Chun air stuff she can do and not even the good stuff. They were talking about Dudley jumping at them.

What aku said might make me think twice about it next time I’m getting caught there. Overhead super tests execution but you die quickly, sweep launcher combos can be demoralizing to watch them juggle you to death, but they could drop it early and you don’t die as fast. And those 2 leave out:

Which can be done without the dirty empty jump fake.

Pick your poison. “Dudley owns you on wakeup”

Hey so does ShinSho pull Dudley back in since 1st hit is cinematic? Definitely can’t be too far out, but just the Shoryuken a low poke into that range kinda exchange, probably reversal wakeup, and even better if he’s not spacing it as best he can. Sticking his face in there.

It’s like having a cigarette and finishing it before you finish your drink.

What character do you use? Try looking for that button that might stop him from jumping in first…I don’t like to let Dudley jump in free, It’s a game changer in that instance, cause he gets to apply free pressure. So, you should try and stop him from the start if possible. For the sweep, always try to block low, and look for high attacks since they are slow aswell, your best defence is blocking low in this game (usually).

PS: even if your anti air traded, you’re better off trading that and then creating some space than getting a Dudley in your face…He’s like herpes man…

winners don’t smoke either.

blame exo for this thread

sweep 15 frames, dart shot 6 frames

drink 15 swigs, cigarette 6 drags

Those aren’t the numbers but that’s the idea.

I blame exo for more than just this thread.

I was more scared of CPS4’s e-cig than any arcade outside folks 2nd hand smoke coming my way from the wind or whatever. Wave away the “smoke” wait a minute. Humidor pen?! What do you got like febreeze in there?

SHINSHO

would’ve grabbed that to go back to Ryu land to discuss it. Gotta find Iggy bob’s thing he was talkin about “that bobbing up and down thing third strike turns into sometimes” and learn it plus add a concept, so I can Parry before I crouch fierce every damn thing and earn the right to Donkey kick people.
