How do I practice grabbing on wakeup

I keep missing my meaty grabs with Makoto. Either I’m too early and whiff or I’m too late and I get thrown out of the start up. How do I practice this in training mode?

record the dummy throwing. sweep and grab after. repeat until timing is good.

There was a thread awhile ago that had a sort of misleading title, with this video that showed the way to use the training mode to practice just what you’re talking about.
