How do I beat Air S?

I’d like to give a huge middle finger to Ghost rider and his j.H, s.H and S.

Just played some japanese dude who picks GR/Tron/Vergil, all he did was the stupid jumping s beyond the point of embarrasment and of course he was totally dominating. The whole time hes taunting and what not .And as a show of his pathetic nature as soon as he lost a match he totally split. My best defense was a projectile based character I used Akuma and the downward fireballs at low speed proved very effective. I basically made the game as boring as he was making it. I also use C Viper and her double jump helped me immensely. I spent a great deal of time jumping around really just to piss him off and get him to open up.

Uhh…its amazing how people don’t stay off the ground if it’s clear you’re not supposed to fight him that way. MODOK can stay in the air most of the game and it’d troll him as bad as he’s trolling you. If you pushblock a JS, use the space to jump and chip him from the air. He’ll have to jump up to attack you, then you zoom back to the ground call an assist and get in his face.

I wish this game was more strategy based and less about landing a doom combo.

You’re right about that and I play GR, but a lot of good GR players know when to empty jump and use other things like j.H, kara-cancelling his :m: command grab, and other things to deal with the likes of MODOK, DOOM, and the other fliers.

One thing you could try is calling H Maya to slide in and hit him while his feet are planted on the ground. Either he’ll get hit (if he doesn’t catch on) or have to block it and stop spamming for a moment (if he does catch on). As far as I know, nothing in the game can stop M/H/Super Maya except for another Maya.
