roger “FUCKING” williams (r1beatdown) used A-rolento/bison/blanka against daigo’s C-ken/guile/sagat. my evo log explains it all, but roger said before the match “i’ve got daigo first round, but i’m not scared b/c it’s like a game of chess, and i’m a smarter player.” and he was definitely right, roger played extremely patient and won the match, then eddie lee eliminated him before the final 8.

From what I remember, it was A-groove runaway both matches. RCs and activations coupled with runaway and lotsa time. It was boring to watch. Anytime they got close, though, he ripped 'em a new asshole. He just couldn’t get in enough to keep up with hit and run shit. No diss to them, though, they both beat the beast.
Guile doesn’t stand a chance against Rolento or runaway Vega. Everything Daigo was doing was one point and perfect execution, but he was downright struggling trying to catch both players. Both won by time-out if I recall. I stopped playing Guile after that. Against characters that rely on getting in (like Kyo) he’s tops. But against any character he can’t zone… :sad:
i still remember enough about TX showdown to post a log, so i’ll get on that today since i’m sure some people have been looking forward to it. thanks for reminding me that there’s interest, because it’s worthless to spend a couple hours typing one up for only a few people to post feedback.

Guile didn’t even see rolento, his ken raped the shit out of my rolento, blanka killed his guile and some sagat. time didn’t run out, he roll supered me and I rc’d through it, and then he jumped at me for no reason and I crouching fierced his sagat with bison. If it were 2/3 however it would have been a whole different story, cause he adapts ultra fast, hence family fun tourney against Justin wong, and it probably didn’t help that he thought I was some wasted scrub :badboy:
Haha, I was all excited about meeting the guy too, only to find out he’s some cocky jerkface who walks around with a tool belt on. Was he polite to you after the match? He stormed off pissed somewhere without saying anything to anybody else is all I remember. 
Daigo lost to 2 east coast players (Ratio1beatdown and Eddie Lee) who each had a gameplan going into the match against Daigo. Apprently, Eddie Lee’s Ratio1 Mai dominated Daigo.

I mean back at evo 2k2 when combofiend sent justin wong to loser’s bracket, justin wong still shook combofiend’s hand and acknowledged the win.
I think it actually might be an honor thing. Heck, the Japanese Government still denies any role that it played in WW2 in order to maintain its honor. But still, they really gotta learn to have some good sportsmanship.
Didn’t Bas pull similar stuff the two times he lost to combofiend in CvS2? I think the Japanese are just cocky like that.

yes i agree. 2/3 and you would have lost. if it had been 1 round for me i’d have made top 8 and put kindebu in the losers cuz i won the first and he came back 2-1. japanese just like to come back though. thats why i stopped playing games that japanese people are good at. i gave up. everybody use steve and nina. theyre REAL toptiers.
