if a JR demon flip sequence is all you aspire to do then you’re setting your standards too low.
Anybody who knows Akuma combos and can execute them well can perfect as many online scrubs as they want. JR is a good player, and I learned a lot from him, but gauging who the best Akuma is based on online ranking points, or vids of someone beating up on scrubs is just stupid. I’ve played JR a lot, as well as Match, Yuki Otoko, Jiro, and KX(?), and no offense to JR, but I wouldn’t put him on Match or Yukis level.
well… i heard DYNE beat Kuroda 10-0 with his Dudley st jab corner reset…
lolled hard. thanks!
Hadoukidding me?!
/\ That lil puppy is pondering so thoughtfully.
Yuki Otoko, Match, Jiro, (Super) Dot, Uraken, Nomoto, Kuroda.
You could probably have hard-ons for a 3rd of that list and still learn hella stuff. I didn’t even list the US guys like 5-star, Metric or Therapist that are fucking nice.

Pretty sure he got chased out of this forum lol. I expect him to have a new SRK account very soon (if not now).
To answer your question though… you WONT be like JR assuming you are new to the game. Not for a long time at least.
I feel im like in the low % of people new to 3s that realizes people have been playing this game for 10 years and to get near their level will take a little longer than 1 hour in training mode and 50 online matches.
People have like 0 patience these days
playing most random online players really is combo execution practice though, i’m surprised he didn’t do any jab stun combos lol

i’d like to see him double p someone with fucking skill oh wait it doesn’t work like that
what planet am I on?
JR’s good… but he’s not some kind of Akuma innovator or anything. Darren’s got a great Akuma too, from NY, but there’s nothing about him being godlike.
Both are great players to mold yourself after if you’re a newbie, as they’re not TOO advanced (check the Akuma / Ken Kuroda vs Ino matches) but they’re nothing to write home about.

I remember that match… That was EPIC, and it’s the match that made me want to learn 3S… First time I saw that was like 2k4, and I liked it because I actually understood what was happening.
