UMvc3 was played by a lot of casual gamers cause it’s much more popular, I mean, it’s a capcom game, said enough.

I dont get the advices of always playing better players, I mean what have I learned when I get beat up by a 50 hit combo, wow no thx. You can tell me what you want, but nobody wants to lose 10+ games in a row, you can’t tell me that this makes fun.

These are the real exciting and fun games, why are they exciting ? Because they are tight, one player often only wins with little amount of life left. It makes more fun to play often together with same skills and to get both better at the same time.

I dont agree with the always play with people of equal skill part. Better players exploit your mistakes way better than someone on your level. It forces you to figure out why your getting hit, losing to a certain style of play, etc. Someone on your level may not punish unsafe stuff you toss out and you’ll end up thinking its good tech until you get your shit curbstomped.

If you play aginst people that are equal to you then they obviously are not better. if they are not better you aren’t seeing anything new therefore you are not gaining more experience. As a result of not learning or seeing anything new you never get better. All playing people of equal skill does is allow you to perfect combos in an actual game situation. by playing better people you might get wrecked while using a strategy you’ve been using forever an realize there is a major whole in your gameplan that can be exploited by people of better skill. I understand what you’re trying to ssay but it is a very ignorant point of view and is only taken by people who can’t get better because they get too salty.

It might be better to find someone better than you, and get them to play with a character they are unfamiliar with. That way you don’t have to deal with high level mix-ups and death combos, but you still have to learn how to deal with fundamentals.
