Hotdogs & Poprocks! ~ Skullgirls GD x 3!

Ahhh waking up to find a thread rebirth and a slew of skull girls videos. Best way to start the weekend.

You and me both Urichi… you and me both.

Hopefully there will be some non-GT videos of these new videos up. They always lag on me though it’s not as bad as IGN’s.

Did anyone else notice Peacock blocking with an L-shaped tetris block?! It turns into a straight tetris block when she push blocks!

Lots more Carol, she got a nice showing in the FNF as well.

She was definitely the character made for me and I made the right choice.

As far as I know, there are currently two streams. leveluplive and leveluplive2. The second one is for BlazBlue:Continuum Shift 2, King of Fighters XIII, and Mortal Kombat 9. I’m not sure which one Skullgirls will be on. but I’m betting the secondary one, since the first stream is going to be pretty much Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 and Super Street Fighter 4: Arcade Edition 2012…ALL DAY.

So yeah, http://www.twitch.tv/leveluplive2 (here’s the second stream  )

Stream 2 schedule
BlazBlue: Continuum Shift 2 – 10am-11:45am
Tekken Tag Tournament 2 – 12:00pm – 1:45pm
Mortal Kombat 9 – 2:00pm – 3:45pm
Cosplay Contest – 4:00pm – 5pm
King of Fighters XIII – 5:15pm – 7pm
Skullgirls Top 8 – 7:15pm – 9pm
King of Fighters XIII: 5v5 – 9:15pm – 10pm

Well, if Skullgirls comes out in time, it’s got its first major lined up…

I was poking around the site and I couldn’t find the timezone it was in… Anyone know?

Its PST.

I hope it gets archived cuz I’m going to have to leave in like 2 hours. =/

Spread the word people, let’s blow up SG Top 8. \o/

Pretty sure it’ll be archived.

I’m also going to make an effort to get them to Save Replay before going on to the next match, so we can render those out and put them on GT without commentary, etc.

Man, the latest FNF was pretty sweet. The intro really pops with the matching v.o. I also love the little quips when you pause. Great match just as well.

I’m talking to a person right now and he says that he played skullgirls and he says that the game is too slow. I’m trying to convince him otherwise. I dont think that he has ever actually seen any high level footage of the game so he immediately assumes something off of one game he played. Maybe I can convince him otherwise?

edit:He doesnt seem to have given the game a fair chance and it doesnt look like he wants to. I really wish more people would be interested in the game.

I’m going to do all I can to watch the top 8 for skullgirls.

Great to see so many good video on GT pop up, Painwheel is definitely looking to be right up my alley along with Cerebella. I was surprised to see just how much Hatred Install changed her move properties. Definitely going to catch Skullgirls tonight on SCR, hoping for some sick matches :).

SICK! If there is a SG tournament at FR I’d definitely participate in it alongside KoF.

So fool when people assume a game is slow without playing it.

Mvc1 trilogy, and Msh look pretty slow when you look at them. But they are amazingly fast when you see real man play of them. Speed isn’t determined by how fast dashes ram you across the screen or how many bullshit teleports you have. Nor is it determined by how fast you can cancel moves. It’s determined by things like block stun, game flow, the amount of input required, and most importantly, the frequency which the game thrusts choices upon you. I believe that Vampire Savior is one of the fastest fighting games ever made NOT because it has air dashes, but because there is a multitude of branching paths for every action you can take in the game. Even if you just make your opponent block something as simple as a poke, you basicly have 5 or 6 different options you can follow that up with, for offense or defense.

Long story short, tell your friend to play before he thinks anything is slow.

Ps: You could also mention that everybody who’s played the game so far says the pacing is perfect.

The only thing that has got me a little concerned is who’s going to be playing in the SG tournament. Because depending on what people are in we may get some good footage of the gameplay but whether or not it will be quality games or just new people who have never played the game mashing buttons. But I’m happy either way honestly, as long as the game gets some good exposure.

The pacing of the game is fantastic.

hmmm KoF13 started early, looks like we might see SG a bit sooner.
