Hey everyone! I just did the math on 2 vs 3 fights, and it turns out that 3 characters is essentially a straight upgrade!
Check this funky mathy stuff out, if we do damage multiplier / enemies HP multiplier * team members, we get this:
The trio: 1 / 1.15 * 3 = 2.609
The duo: 1.3 / 1 * 2 = 2.6
So the trio has an EXTREMELYSMALL advantage in terms of overall health pool over damage taken, and more strategic options. Other benefits would be more assists, being able to recover two character’s red health at once, and triple co-star combos. Disadvantages would be needing to learn a third character and possibly not being able to do a co-star combo due to your character order.
no, no, I used / for dividing, and * for multiplying.
with trio: 100% damage from your character impacting their health, which is 115% of normal health, and you have 3 characters to do it with.
with duo: you deal 130% damage impacting normal 100% health, multiplied by two characters at your disposal instead of 3.
I did it like this because I think it’s the best way to write it, dividing your damage multiplier by their health gives you the percent-based damage you deal to their character’s life. Then, multiply by how many characters you have.
P.S: Valentine pushblock is her putting a bandaid on you <3
P.P.S: I kinda can say it’s straight up better, unless you can think of more disadvantages I didn’t list?
No need to worry, it’s very… very… very real. Also, while her tag/assist animation is most likely a placeholder, I kind of want it to stay in. It’s just some sort of cardboard cutout of her, kind of works with the ninja thing she’s got going. I was amused by it at the very least.
