Honestly, the Hot threads are pointless. They serve no real purpose nowadays. Maybe for the satisfication, ONE thread could be kept for the 'lot of them. Mainly, here’s what in had in mind overall for this forum.
More Tagger specific request threads. I’ll volunterr for that aswell. It would cut back on request threads (i.e. spam).
Since post counts have long been beleted (intentional misspelling, my ex said that, and it sounded so damn cute… err, anyway), we need to develop a new way on keeping 1 day old members from spamming up with avatar request. It used to be a certain post count (20 I think?) before they could request, but that was years ago.
More threads that would make taggers and wanna-be taggers want to post. The Fan Art section of SRK does a great job of this, with constant contest, and other things. Hell, we can even have PSD Tennis events, Trainee battles (I’ll explain if someoen ask what that is), and more contest, with less time (maybe a solid, week for each contest, with a prize of some sort everynow and again).
The people are here, they just need a push is all.

Your argument for Gen Disgusting falls on its face when you realize that what is being discussed in there is only text on a screen, while here we are talking about photographs. Which one will get more complaints from a parent glancing over the shoulder of their sweet 15 year old angel? But that is beside the point, the original locking that I did was because people were posting “18+” rated material. According to the agreement that you made when you created your account, you are not supposed to post that, and can expect it to be locked/deleted. Let me refresh your memory.
Now, you tell me, what am I supposed to do when people are posting bukkake pictures in the anime girls threads? Lock -> Delete xx Banned User Super Combo is what I did, however, you are implying that I should have done something different.
If you had a clean slate to work with, what rules would you have here in IMM?
who cares about the anime girl threads?That shit was wack in the first place. Shut that shit down. Deal with the individuals or individual threads. I have no problem with you banning people who are posting innapropriate stuff because thats what you should be doing instead of shutting down all the threads. Shutting down every hot girl thread is just lame IMO and unnecessary. Its not like I can stop you though so you might as well go ahead.
And for the rules I think should be enforced on the hot girl threads check the first page of the hot girl thread. Forget about the URL in the pic thing though I think thats lame!
and I guess you can add seethrough pics where you may be able to see the nipples or bush .
I’m going to get together with the other IMM mods and we will rewrite the rules for IMM. Hot girl threads will stay with the understanding that the rules written by maiden masher will be enforced with a user ban. Also, just like the other graphics heavy threads, hot girl threads will be closed after 500 posts. Feel free to start another, just like we do with the showcase thread.
Although i have no personal qualms with the girl threads specifically, in general i hate them for bogging down the site for everyone else. Posting 5-6 large sized pics and that are not even from your own host = very, very bad. It adds to the already massive traffic on this site + you steal bandwidth of those who you hotlink these pics from.
something to note about the showcase thread: The formula “post-your-art-for-viewing” works rather well. We’ve had problems in the past about abusive user comments, so we enforced having comments elsewhere (for ex. Rei’s Comment on your Art Thread, it was unsuccessful unfortunately).
apologies for taking so long to enter this thread. Been busy with Chinese New Year.
I don’t enjoy hopping onto random URLs just to check if they’re clean either (and trust me, I do check), but I don’t want some kid telling his parent how he found some site off a pic he saw on SRK. And I’ve been lenient too… deleting such images and only locking threads after ample warning.
but anyway, as Rei mentioned, we’ll discuss all the rules and get back to you guys.
