Me and some of my friends want to work on a fan made game that others can download for fun and create these horror inspired characters based on the horror movie killers but with martial art fighting styles. What fighting martial art styles would suit them best?
For example, a Jason inspired looking character would suit best for what fighting style? Same with a Michael Myers based character, a Leatherface and Freddy Krueger inspired, etc…

It would be awesome if you threw in some cool mechanics like when you win a match, you get a chance to do a fatalistic, brutally violent finishing move to mortally kill your opponent after kombat to finish him.

Yeah but I’m saying if they were instead characters who are inspired like the horror icons but with martial art styles like in SF, Tekken and MK. If they were inspired horror icons what fighting styles, martial art moves would match each of them? Who would be like the Ryu and Ken of the horror inspired characters?

Sorry to shit on your parade but this just does NOT sound like a good idea. Why would horror characters need to know martial arts? Like how silly would Jason Voorhees look doing Chinese short sword stuff with a machete?
