Beat the game. Definitely earned the accolades being touted. Easily is a great contender for GOTY.
The only thing that I couldn’t stand is that Aloy’s father figure (Rost) backstory was treated as unimportant.

That’s exactly my point. If you don’t talk to Teersa again, you don’t get that extra information on a character central to her development.

I am one trophy away from getting the platinum trophy. Not really all that difficult IMO. I doubt I will be doing an ultra hard playthrough.

As a testament to this game, this is the first time I’ve been sad to find that a game is only getting one DLC expansion (if Frozen Wilds makes things “complete”, it must be the only one).
I’m on Frozen Wilds day 1, and am happy to fork over the extra.

That last change is a bummer
i forget exactly how, but using quick save could overwrite save files that you weren’t using.
so if you’re playing the game a second time, and use quick save I’m pretty sure you will overwrite your other games quick save and fuck everything up.
Can they make the people react to the dynamic weather changes. Kinda silly seeing it rain and dudes just still sitting down getting soaked when they have shelter right next to them.
Thats how every single quick save system works and has always worked unless the saves are done via a profile…
This is why you always make a hard save when you are done.

the way the game was assumes people play a lot of other games. Almost every single argument in favor of keeping it the way it was boils down to “bc other games”
it doesn’t matter what other games do. just do something that makes intuitive sense instead of something that relies on what is the gamer equivalent of tribal knowledge.
not everyone plays the same amount of games you do, i don’t think any game I’ve ever played before ever had it like this.
