They weren’t too bad. Managed to get blazing sun on first try for most, but there were a couple or few that made me want to smash my controller.
No he’s not. by the time I did all the hunter trials I had weapons equal to that special stuff. The only difference is the gold trim and maybe 1 point in a stat or two. You can get the exact same weapons for none of the effort.
I did have a full suite of boss as fuck Purples with some kick ass mods applied…I don’t remember feeling like I wasn’t getting good numbers with them.
Finally got time to 100% and finish the game.
Loved it all the way through.
Is there a way to get better purple mods? The best I’ve collected so far usually top out 45% for primary buff and a few things a lot lower for secondary. Like 45% dmg 22% freeze etc.
Also wtf these power cells at lol? Think I must missed a few in my travels. Trying not to look at guides damnit.
I heard one of the trophies was bugged - did they fix it? Not going back for a platinum until it is.
How do you guys find quests beside the green exclamation mark when you’re nearby someone? I’ve completed the game and am in the “pre-final-battle” status with all my gear. I’d invest some time into 100% completion, but I’m interested in quests and can’t find any besides the ones that have their own categories (like bandit camps).
You have to visit towns and come across people giving quests, then they show up on the map as green exclamation marks.
You could probably Google a version of the map with just the quests filtered in.
I got this game and am loving it… but I hate Alloy.
Oh, and the voice acting is terrible.

She’s more likable than reboot Lara Croft at least.
Also play the game as bitchy Aloy. She says some exceptionally savage shit to people when you choose confrontational dialogue. She’s honestly more entertaining than Sassy FemShep from Mass Effect.

Once you get on a roll and realize weapons don’t replace each other (of same types) shit really gets rolling.
Took on my first thunder jaw and smacked that ass. Turning the weapons back on the machines is satisfying
Yea when I get a good elemental mod or something I’ll buy a whole new Sling or something and tailor build it to take advantage of that element or whatever. I have like 3 slings, 3 hunters bows, 2s has sharpshooter Bows so Iin and so fourth. Same with armor.
Blast sling is OP.
I really enjoy going into places you probably shouldn’t be yet and taking control. I stumbled into the first rockbreaker and ran like a bitch and died like one.
Watched him and died a few more times then trapped and cheesed my way to win.
I keep trying to progress the story but get sidetracked. Pretty much uncovered the whole map except where the final hunting trial is (those are real fun btw) and im supposed to be after Olin at this point.

Yeah, the ONLY way I could beat a Rock Breaker is by either being on higher ground or hiding behind some cover far, FAR away. They might be the most annoying Apex predator.

Best thing I’ve found for stormbirds is to bring a ravager cannon. Melts the poor bastard if you don’t waste ammo
I dunno if its been stated but on downed enemies you can lead with a heavy attack and cancel it in to a critical to eek out some extra damage
