This game is the bees knees. The weapons, machine-animals, and how they react and their weaknesses is just fucking fantastic. Add that to the amazing environment and I could play this game all day and all night. The story mission is at level 15. I’m at level 39. Why? Because I wanna go and do other shit and try new tactics against machine-animals.
I just faced my first behemoth a couple minutes ago. It’s the last machine on my log. I knocked it down with the terablast and a bunch of stuff flew off and it stayed down a really long time. I was like “maybe I’m supposed to finish it.” I ran over there, it got up and I could not run away and use enough TB arrows. It’s got a crapload of HP.
Idk why it took my until level 30 to realize the awesomeness of the blast sling. Holy fuck was I dumb. Shooting a sticky bomb into a herd of broadheads, hiding behind a rock, and counting down until it explodes and they all die is just TOO SWEET. It used to take me forever to kill the stormbird with well placed arrows while I was trying to reserve ammo. The blast bombs pretty much takes the tediousness out of it. Just trap him down and lay those bombs on it. Another awesome thing is shooting a sticky bomb on a machine and then hitting it with a corrupt arrow. Lmao! It’s so fucking awesome.
But it’s still great to be precise with the arrows though. Double arrows make sure a weapon part fall off. I don’t have the balls to do a sliding shot up a machines undercarriage though.
The only thing that irks me in the entire game is that I wish you could pan the camera out a bit more. But that’s really so minor considering all the goodness.

Uploaded to my alternate YouTube account in case they get pissy with the music. Also, the times I seem to pause, I’m actually going into photo mode. I just cut those parts out in Premiere.
Does override give ur machines some kind of buff or something cause whenever I override a robot and it fights the same of its kind my robot always wins.
This game is fucking awesome, i just did the sidequest with the boss battle with the thunderbird.
Dunno if i am overleveled, lol, because i am currently at lvl40 and
Spoiler
i have yet to rescue Olin’s Family, or search for Erend’s sister
I already have all the shadow weapons and outfits btw.
Finished all the Cauldrons and Corruption Zones yesterday. Question for those who’ve beaten the game - can I finish the story and then go wrap up sidequests or should I do the sidequests first? Been a long time since I played a non-FF open world game.
From what I understand, it’s impossible to miss an opportunity in this game, meaning you’ll be able to go back and finish up anything you need to for that 100 percent completion.
double shot is hella useful for that extra power. When you’re fighting the humans that can take a head shot and live, a double shot of precision arrows (one of those as a head shot) will kill him. And double shot Harvest Arrows/Havest Arrows will knock something off with about 90% accuracy.
I think it’s awesome that when a machine is hurt really bad, they’ll try to flee. If you hurt a sawtooth enough and break plates on his legs, he’ll hobble like a wounded dog on three feet. It makes you feel sorry for it… and like total fucking badass at the same time.
But as soon as you start underestimating the machines and thinking you’re the shit, is when you get your ass kicked. I’ll be chasing a charger herd, trying to catch one to ride it… thinking “get back here and let me ride you, you stupid fuck!” and I won’t notice I chased it near a stream, where two snapmaws are just waiting to chomp my ass.
upgrade your fucking carry capacity! Kill those bunnies, raccoons, and fish whenever you can.
This has been THE INVINCIBLE SWORDSMAN saying:
I’m not gonna try the CZ with the 2 rockbreakers until I get the special armor.
