Hori tekken 6 stick

Asking once more. ;___;

My joystick’s button started sticking so I took off casing last night to take a look inside, and it was somewhat confusing but my desire to mod the stick has increased, so I’ve decided to mod it with a PS360 PCB, and Sanwa/Seimetsu buttons, and maybe mess with the stick because mine feels a little too loose, so I was wondering if there was a guide somewhere, or multiple guides, that would help inform me of how I would perform this. I have extremely limited experience with electronics, however, but at the moment my stick is practically unusable with the button sticking, so I figured I might as well do a full upgrade when opening it up.

I’m modding my stick so much it wont even be recognizable, but I’m stuck. I was wondering if a Sanwa JL-9SF Shaft would fit inside of it, and also, how would I go about replacing the shaft?

If you get a Seimitsu LS-32 spring and put it inside of the original spring and replace it, it will be a much tighter stick. I found it perfect.

This
I won’t go so far as perfect, but it helps a lot.

Can you tell us a little more about what you’re trying to do and what it should accomplish?

Good stick for testing the waters and are unsure about buying an expensive one.

Yeah, it was my first one just a few months ago. It’s a lot of trouble to mod, but you learn a bunch in the process. Not great if you want perfection out of the box, but now that I’ve done all my changes, it’s great and I’ve learned enough to tackle other projects (like the TvC stick + DC pad dualmod I just finished).

My brother and I both have tekken 6 sticks, and both of them have different problems. my problem was that my arcade stick’s buttons dont register sometimes. My brothers arcade stick’s L button(B button) registers all the time but the button isnt stuck in there. Is there a way to fix this without modding or opening?

Will the regular jlf w/ a hori shaft go in this without having to modify the bottom panel of the stick for clearance? I was going to use the pcb-less version, but apparently those are no longer sold, and I can’t find anything that says the pcb version is deeper than the one without a pcb.

I installed a Sanwa JLF-TP-8 with HORI Shaft no problem.

You can buy Sanwa JLF-TM-8 from Lizard Lick, when in stock.

PCB has nothing to make anything shorter.

Here’s my modded Xbox Tekken fightstick. Modded with Seimitsu buttons, Seimitsu bubbletops, Seimitsu LS-32 Spring combined with stock spring, Sanwa GT-Y Octagonal Restrictor Plate and Carbon Fiber Vinyl.

I don’t know all the differences in the models of JLFs, but when I tried to use the hori shaft with the JLF from a MC TE, it didn’t work. The space between the pivot and the clip on the hori shaft was short enough that the spring, spring cover, washer, and the actuator were bunched up and I got a circle gate effect. I switched the components around between hori and jlf and no combination would let the stick move all the way to the gate without obstruction. If this is a different model of JLF, I’d love to know so I can get it to work with the shorter shaft.

How easy was it to replace the JLF switches? Do they just plug in to the existing Hori wires? (And I assume you used the MS-0-2P?)

I just realized I never posted my T6 in here post-mod. Put in a JLF with archalien’s mod, seimitsu buttons, new art. This thing was a lot of work, but I love it now. The JLF sits too high, but I’ve gotten used to it and may actually like it better that way. I installed nickles inside the button plungers to reduce the travel distance. It’s kinda weird b/c the plunger moves just 1-2mm now. Touch it and it’s engaged. Only problem is that after playing hard for a while, the tips of your fingers get a little sore because there’s so little spring to them. I also added a bunch of pennies for weight and used foam self-liner on the bottom:

I’m especially happy with my little battery cover/flap thingy to get access w/o junking it up:

Overall, I love my T6 because without it, I probably wouldn’t have started modding. That said, I usually suggest people stay away unless they own a soldering iron and a dremmel or really want to learn.

enkidomark, that art looks amazing, especially integrated into the buttons.

What did you print the art on? Was it just regular paper that you then had laminated, or was it something special?

It’s just laminated paper from officemax. You can’t see in the picture, but it’s a little wavey. When I got it printed I was worried about bubbles, but the waves were a surprise (1st art mod). It’s not too bad, but I’ll look around before I get the next one printed. Officemax was something like $2.50 printed and laminated, and that’s the size up from 8.5x11, which is usually a big price jump. Kinkos quoted something like $11-13 to get it done, so when officemax told me the price I was too thrilled to give them hell about the waves. I toiled over that art (1st time with Gimp) and I love it, but after seeing the carbon-fiber up there, I think I may try that next. There’s not a lot you can do with character art that really suites me.
On the buttons, I got officemax to print my art a couple more times (less than $1 per) and cut the buttons out of unlaminated. I didn’t know how hard it would be to cut laminant.

I’m trying to mod my tekken 6 stick but im not sure how to go about doing this. The parts im thinking about using are:

Sanwa GT-Y Octagonal Restrictor Plate for JLF Joysticks
6 pc Set of White Sanwa Push Buttons OBSF-30-W

Is there anything else i should get, is it anything better than these parts, or are these alright?

Hey guys, i also have a tekken 6 hori wireless stick, i’ve had it since well the release date.

Problem is my square/Light punch button is being somewhat unresponsive, i’ve hardly used it to begin with, but i think its cause i dropped it once ahaha and im guessing it may have damaged something on the inside.

So i’m looking for anyone in NYC that would be willing to do a modding commision for me, i would do it myself but i tend to destroy things even more when i attempt to repair them, so i really don’t want to take the risk with this right now. in any case, if anyone’s interested just PM me.

I don’t think I posted my Guwange stick in this thread:

All buttons are Seimitsu. I went the “easy” way with the stick, just drilled holes in the JLF gate holder and kept the original shaft/actuator. Don’t remember what spring went into it. Also changed microswitches to the kind found in Seimitsu LS-32 (same brand as HORI’s used). The 30 mm buttons was moving a bit, so I got rubber O-rings and used as spacers between the metal plate and the button nuts. Artwork by me, printed @ GameOnGrafix.

I’m really digging all of the work you guys have put into your T6 sticks. I have a PS3 T6 stick that I want to dual mod, wireless. Any recommendations on where to start? I was thinking the toodles axisadapter board, with button swap, but that leaves the 360 out of the equation. Has anyone tried cannibalizing pcbs from other wireless controllers…guitar hero les paul for example?
