Nice, you cleaned up your work alot compared to your first one. good job man. I see that beautiful white/black seimitsu button on there. lol
those loose red wires on the left of the last pic. i assume those are the 2 unused buttons that you wired anyway?
Was this for personal use, or a friend?
Thanks a lot. I really tried to keep it clean. One of those red wires curls back around to the select / back button (you can see it going to the button in the upper right hand corner where I drilled) and the other is just an extra ground wire from the T5 pcb. This is for a friend of mine that liked my T5 mod so much, he paid me to do one for him.
realyst- its all good son. spread the knowledge of how to mod.
So heres the top plate for my next stick. I used JB weld to fill the holes in. Then i let it sit for awhile. After that i sanded down the jb until the whole surface was smooth/flat. cleaned it up, let it dry then i hit it with a few coats of clear coat. Not bad for my first time to try this.
Hey guys, finally got the parts in and finished my t5 stick. If you guys remember i made a deal with my wife. She gets to pick the artwork for my next stick or i dont get one. lol
heres my girly looking marvel stick
Tekken 5 stick
-LS56 (custom fit)
-Bubble top
-(6) PS-14-KNs
-(2) PS-14-DNs
-Adios and Ciao Ciao Lamilabel
-JB welded L1/L2/Start/Select button holes and moved start/select to back
Looks good. Take that thing to tourneys and kick ass with it, your opponents will have to live with being whupped by a “girly stick”.
And pick up a T5 plexi from Art, you can swap the art once you leave the house, take it off when you get home.
thanks for the artwork btw. I still like it even though it girly. Plus i cant stand the height the plexi adds to the stick. Uncomfortable on my wrists.
Looks nice man. The last girl I went out with was so into TokiDoki like crazyyyyy.
Hit up the metal edges with a black sharpie, it actually almost blends completely with a black background.
anybody know where to get some T5 plexi that doesnt need to have a metal panel? also could I get a custom button layout there? im tryna get a umk3 stick layout for my t5 since I sold the metal panel to the realyst lol.
No way a plexi is going to hold up to the beating it’ll get through use. Sorry, but a plate under it is needed, but you could always try getting a wood or mdf backing under it to cut down on weight, but you’d have to cut it yourself, most likely.
if you really wanted a custom layout you can get a plexi made and then cut holes in the top plate where you need them. as long as the metal plate i there for support youll be ok. But you NEED that top plate.
I think I want to do this. I want to cover that cord hole and make it smooth and use a USB pass through in a dual modded Cthulhu / hacked 360 pad. The guy said he used clay to cover it up? Any more info or other methods to get this done? Thanks.
