Got my V3 SA yesterday just in time for a tournie I was holding at my place. I have to say, I really love this stick and think I’ll use it as my main one for now.
Yes it’s lighter than the TE, but it’s actually still a good weight, and the size/look of it is really really nice. It’s very solid feeling (unlike the HRAP3) although slightly more echoy than the TE. What surprised me though was the really nice matte finish to the top panel. It feels really good and much more comfortable than the plexis on my other sticks.
So out of my four sticks (1 custom with seimitsus, 1 hrap3 with all sanwa, 1 te with sanwa and this one) this is my favourite and the one I’ll probably use competitively from now on.
Plus, unlike my TE it works on PC out of the box

Oh yeah, I’ll be plugging the x3 buttons asap as well. Not a fan of 8 button layouts. Although I personally prefer the blast city layout also, I think with just 6 buttons the vewlix one will be fine too.
thanks, at the time of asking that question I had forgotten about the PS2 so I was puzzled what system the stick would be for if it was not for the 360 or PS3, that’s why I asked.
Also, would it be fair to say that the the HRAP V3-SA is the best Sanwa Stick from Hori as of yet? or at least using the best Sanwa parts? or not?
Guys that have this stick, how much are you liking the angled palm rest compared to a large flat surface that most other sticks have? Do you prefer it or is it awkward?
I’m curious to know the clearance one would need to use those white quick-disconnect covers on a regular Hori Real Arcade Pro 2. I definitely know they’d fit, but I want to know the dimensions. Does anyone who owns a Hori Real Arcade Pro V3-SA mind cracking it open and measuring the length of one of those SR-110 quick disconnect covers?
Got my HRAP V3 SA last week and I’m loving it! I’d say the angled palm rest feels a bit different at first but got used to it in no time. Overall its pretty good =)
This stick is going to get released in the US sometime down the road – probably fall at latest this year.
Also, =====>
They already have an Amazon-Japan variant for pre-order now!
Meanwhile, the original-run stick is still popping up again on import sites…
Right now, I don’t have the cash (like many of us) to pay $210 for a new stick.
I’m sitting out on this one until a cheaper mass-market version comes out, a US re-release comes up, or Hori does a version of the “V” in white like the prototype.
I definitely think the purple variant on Amazon.jp doesn’t look that good. The black one is okay, though.
After waitted for 10 days(from Hong Kong to Shanghai), I recieved my v3 sa yesterday.
It is heavier than I thought, about the same weight as the HRAP3, and the angled palm area feels really good.
Mine came in with the container door fell off, I guess that’s the way it is, and just put it back very easily.
I never happen to accidentally press the start button during the game.
The stick just feel solid, and the quality is good!
I’m very happy with the stick.
I love the angled palm support too. Honestly, TE remains the best overall (easy modding, better start button design) but I just love the design of this one.
