It’s gotta be GameOnGrafix.com for a V3-SA mod. Their tough vinyl material is a perfect replacement for the stock plastic sheet, and they’ll plotter cut your art now too. Use my template earlier in the thread :bgrin:

Are they bringing the HRAP V3 SA over to the states? I know they have the premium VLX model, but what about this one?

Ohhh that’s sick. I’m on PS3, but I want a stick ready just in case for other systems. Eventually wanna dual/trip mod this one, since it’s easier to go 360 to other systems, than ps3 to other systems
Was that template accurate enough that you’d be fine having them use it as basis to cut the holes?
Mm, good question. I would say yes, given that the button lips and dust washer would cover up anything that was a hair of a millimeter off. But even so, I would probably still do the button holes manually (after sticking the panel down), just in case you were slightly off applying the material. What the plotter cut would work perfectly for is the dimensions of the thing – those loooong straight edges and tiny rounded corners were a bitch to cut manually.

As much as I like the case, I have NOT liked most of the variant colors and graphic art on the licensed/full-up Sanwa (no soldered PCBs, thank goodness!) V3 SA’s. So far, my thoughts are that the artwork was superior on the majority of the old “Astrocade-style” HRAP licensed cases.
The molded plastic colors also aren’t working for me aside from the white (360) and black (PS3) baseline versions of the V3 SA.
NRX, do you have a weblink to that template you made? I want to keep it on file… Just in case!

i have an MC and a 360 SE PCB so that is not the problem, but what is the fastest and less stressing solution for a dual mod??
Hey peoples, this site might have a more accurate V3/VX-SA template than mine, but it’s an AutoCAD .dxf:
Some time next week I’m going to get down with super accurate measurements to make sure my template is 100%, and re-upload it. It was fine for my Sanwa VS Seimitsu stick, but I’d hate to be responsible for someone else’s mod not being perfect.
Damn. I like that site you linked. That person did a mod that on the V3/VX that I would love to do if I ever pick up one of those sticks.
The best V3 mod I’ve seen so far was the Sanwa Vs Seimitsu art mod. Way, way better than any of the licensed V3/VX character art (which is oddly the weakest link in the V3/VX line so far).
I can’t remember if that was NRX’s 360 VX stick or not that I saw… Usually not a big fan of pastel colors on joysticks but the combination worked very well in this case! You have to be a man to play with a girly-looking stick.

I own two Arcana Heart 2 joysticks! 
Had to keep the original art on those. (It’s against my anime religion to desecrate art with cute girls in it…) In the second stick, I replaced the pink colored buttons with light blue to distinguish it. Put meshballs on both sticks corresponding to the main non-white 30mm button colors… SO, one stick has a pink meshball and pink 30mm buttons, and the other has a light blue meshball and light blue 30mm buttons.
(When meshballs fit in a stick theme, they fit well!)
I swear that last time I checked I still had a Y chromosome… :razzy:
