Hori Real Arcade PRO V3 "SA" Thread - (Available Now! Check OP!)

Yo!
like i said in the show your stick thread,
I EAT CROW
it looks really good man!

Has anyone else done this? I’ve been hibernating for a while; did I miss anything? I know Arthong is researching plexi for this, but that’s on the back burner. Just kinda surprised… maybe no one wants to touch their expensive baby. That’s why I posted the stock art rape pics - to encourage others.

Beautiful mod VMS.

That came out very well. I like the stock look but you have made it truly yours.

I love my VX-SA with LS-32 in it. Any of you guys know how to get hold of an Amazon.jp edition V3-SA? Amazon won’t ship it to the US.

They pop up on ebay from time to time. There’s one on there right now for $210.80 + $61.00 S&H, ends in 16 minutes. Will probably be re-listed.

Not really worth the premium just for different colored buttons & art, though.

Can someone who owns the stick post dimensions for it? I have searched everywhere and can’t find them. Length, width and height please. Pics to go along with it would be sweet!

Wanna build one similar to what this looks like, maybe something like the VLX stick

Nevermind, found the dimensions a few pages back.

I feel your pain dude. Living in Japan and can’t find a TE anywhere. I ordered one from Amazon and after two weeks they were like “Cancel your order LOL” but by that time all the other sources were out too.

Check Yahoo! auctions.

What method did you use to remove the stock art? Can it be removed without damaging it?

I just stuck a box cutter under a corner to lift it up, and tore it off from there.

It comes off in one piece, and isn’t really damaged. But it becomes very curly from the peeling off, and loses most of its adhesive. You could only reuse it with plexi, which Arthong is working on.
A lot of adhesive is left on the stick after peeling, which comes off with liberal use of GooGone.

Thanks for the advice. I really want to try my own art mod (some Blazblue art maybe, or MVC3). Right now I’m short on time, though. Plus, I must confess that I am torn between trying out that vynil you used or waiting to see what Arthong comes up with.

I noticed on the top it says, “V3-SA $129.99 Sept. 2010”.

i got a v3 sa will get a vx sa for 130 if it comes out for sure

Ya, I’ve got a V3 as well & absolutely love it! I got rid of all my TE’s b/c of this stick, LOL!

WTF? Play-Asia lists the BlazBlue version as both “pre-orders coming soon” and “sold out?”

What’s up peoples. Since a template with accurate button placement for the V3/VX-SA didn’t exist, I made one. I won’t vouch for the accuracy of this template down to the plate level (like, I don’t know if it’s accurate enough for a plexi), but I think it should be more than accurate enough for artwork. I intend to use it to design something for gameongrafix.com to print:

.psd includes a path and rasterized guidelines on a separate layer: http://wahp.jp/HRAP_V3&VX-SA_Template_300dpi.psd.zip

Thanks to VMS for the initial inspiration!

Awesome. Thanks much for the template, NRX!

Thanks dude! This will be useful to me if I ever get the time to whip something up for my own stick.

In answer to this question a while ago, it seems so. I tested the JLF harness against some buttons and buttons to each other since they still formed a circuit I assumed so via transitivity.

Seemed to dual mod okay with a MC Cthulhu so everything’s cool? lol :stuck_out_tongue:

Probably something to note is that the home and select buttons on the panel correspond to light blue and off white in the above picture respectively.

Hopes this helps.
