Mine arrived yesterday and I’ve got to say I love it.
Coming from an HRAP3 with sanwa buttons there was very little adjustment period, and that was just getting used to the angled wrist rest. As others have said it is a little slippery when using it on your lap (probably because of the countersunk rubber feet on the base), but not enough to be a problem. The wings on the sides do make the whole thing quite wide, but once you use them you’ll really appreciate them being there - one of those things where you don’t realise what you’re missing until you have them.
Having individual switches for the turbo function is a great move. No more having someone accidentally push the turbo button and then not knowing which button it was on.
The cable compartment is quite spacious. The door is still flimsy - but feels thicker than the TE’s one.
I still find the old Hori button layout more comfortable, and I’m sad to see it go.
ps: I haven’t accidentally hit the start button yet :razzy:
Pretty sure there’ll be one down the line, possibly when the regular non-OBSF versions come out (V3 and VX). That said, companies do act weird over here. MadCatz has yet to release the PS3 version of the non-licensed TE.
I wonder how much shipping is from Play-Asia when they get these. Anyone who bought the V3 version care to share the price they paid for their PS3 V3-SA from Play-Asia?
PCB is teh sexyness to hack, easier than a VSHG because it’s larger. I’ll stick to my VSHG though, sturdier, less high, and more place for my wristles.
just wondering for those who own this stick, how does the it sound as far as being “solid”? What i mean by solid is does it sound/feel hollow like the hrap when you press on the buttons and move the joystick? or does it sound more like a wooden custom made stick where the sound is deadened?
