Just got my T5 Hori stick (the one that comes in the bundle) in the mail. Found it for cheap and figured I might use it for Third Strike on ps2, while I wait for more HRAP EX to come in.
So after reading the first post, this stick isn’t an HRAP and its not easy to mod,
Link is outdated, but has some decent tips on how to mod.

Anyone here mod one of these before?

Would it be possible to add the weight of each controller to the description or are they all pretty much the same weight?

HRAP 3 Amazon JP vs HRAP 3 SA
Hi,
Can someone tell me the difference between the HRAP 3 Amazon JP edition and the HRAP 3 SA??
I know HRAP 3 SA is top of the line with the best arcade parts inside, but not sure about the Amazon edition.
I have a friend in Japan coming back to US and he is willing bring 1 joystick for me…so I am not sure which one to get…
Thanks!

amazon edition is just a hrap3 with other colors (sanwa jlf stick and hori buttons)
hrap3 sa is a hrap3 with sanwa buttons (obsf-30 and obsf-24)

I was looking at the first post and couldn’t see the HORI Real Arcade Pro Stick (Orange) which I think is the Amazon.com Japan exclusive.

Does anyone know the info about this one or if it is similar to one on the first post then which one?

I believe it was discussed a few pages back, I think its similar to the HRAP1 Version B, as it is not possible to put in a Seimitsu LS-32-01 joystick.

Where can u get the HRAP 3 for relatively cheap, or even regularly priced?
U should most definitely be able to tell them apart easily, as the HRAP3 is black with red ball and buttons and the HRAP3 SA is white with white ball and buttons.
The difference is as far as I know for sure that the SA is all Sanwa, stick and buttons. Where as the HRAP3 is Sanwa stick, Hori buttons. I want an SA but right now I’ll take an ordinary HRAP3 and just put in my own Sanwa buttons.
Someone wanted to sell him mine. He changed his mind though, DAMMIT.
I looked around locally here (Malaysia) and they’ve aaaaaaaallll disappeared. I’m trying to negotiate with a shop to get them to order it for me.
Thanks for the heads up on the way to tell the difference.

Thanks for the info. I looked the last few pages but couldn’t find people talking about it, I will keep looking, but at least now I know more about it.
Here is a art template for the HRAP EX for 360.
The Guide button and Headset Jack now fit perfect.
MediaFire is a simple to use free service that lets you put all your photos, documents, music, and video in a single place so you can access them anywhere and share them everywhere.
Should work for the EX-SE too.

Hey Chaos, this looks like a different link. Same template as in the other thread though right?
If the file was called tiatemp.psd yes.
Hi, I’m new to arcade sticks and was going to purchase a HORI Real Arcade Pro Stick (Orange) for my PS2

From what I understand this is a HRAP version B, will I be able to install a Seimitsu LS-56-01 joystick into it. Thanks.
Is the HRAP that has the original HRAP layout but orange buttons the same as the original (Sanwa stick, hori buttons, QDs?)

Yes for the reasons you stated above. It is also similar to the HRAP1 in that it will not accept a seimitsu LS32 out of the box. Hope that helps.
By any chance would anyone happen to have the instructions for the HRAP3 in an electronic format? I’ve put the HRAP3 box into storage and don’t want to dig it out every time I need to check out the instructions.
I’ve emailed Hori and requested a copy of the HRAP instructions in an electronic format and have yet to receive a reply.
Thank you in advance.

Sanwa OBSF-30 buttons do not fit into a Soulcalibur III stick . There are edges on the panel, which the stock Hori buttons have engraved out.
You can’t solder the buttons directly onto the PCB as well.
You will need some extra tools to complete this task!
Examples Here.

Random question for people who have HRAP1s. Anyone accidently hit the start buttons since they seem pretty close to the last set of buttons? I imagine me akwardly doing that.
No more problems with hadoukens and shoryukens on my HRAP3
Sanwa parts
OBSF-30 (Red button x6)
OBSF-30 (Grey/Black button x2)
OBSF-24 (Yellow button x2)
