The other thing to look at as well for that fate stick is the price. Look at how much people are charging for the Arcana Hearts HRAP. I’m pretty sure the Fate stick is going to be set up the same way as the AH stick and the T5 stick, with the buttons soldered directly to the pcb(Hori buttons for that matter lol).
I think he means that a Hori SFIV stick might be a horistore.com and e-Capcom exclusive like this one is…making it a bigger, more expensive pain to get outside of Japan.
and this is the answer from capcom.
lol.
Two questions:
-
Does anybody have the measurements for the Carriage bolts used to hold the top plate down? I’ve got a HRAP shell, but no carriage bolts to measure to figure out what I need.
-
Does anybody know where you could order replacement bolts from?
I don’t remember the sizes, but my friend bought replacement bolts from a local Osh. I’ll let you know what the sizes are when I get back home.
I went to home depot and picked up some bolts that were #8 and were 3/4 long with an allen wrench hole on the top of the bolt. The only problem that I have with it is that the bolt doesn’t have that square part that holds the bolt in place when tightening the nut on it.
Idk if this has been brought up before but I just finished helping a friend put new buttons in this stick and the buttons are soldered into the pcb.
So, anyway, can I put the HAPP PERFECT 360 stick into the HRAP3, I know it requires +5v dc power…The hardware modification is done, but the Euro joystick I took turned out to be a fake and useless-down-diagonals one.The LS-32 was a bit better by the Sanwa for fighting games, but I don`t like it that much tok keep it.
hey im new here … sorry if its in the wrong place.
i have a Hori real arcade pro 3 and i just bought a LS-56-01 for it … now im having a slight problem and am trying to work out if i have a faulty stick or not.
when i connect up the 5 pin adaptor none of the movements work. when i flip it upside down it will register down but nothing else.
i have tried various ways if wiring it up but with no real luck. is there a particular way i should be wiring it or do have a faulty stick?
Not sure if this helps but: http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a141/Paik4Life/Useful%20Photos/7b31b058.jpg
More info can be found in the Sanwa/Seimitsu FAQ
Does the HRAP 3 have any lag when used on the PC/MAME/GGPO?
no none once so ever
Awesome, thanks. 360 pad is shit, can’t stand it anymore.
Hey, can someone direct me to a thread that tutorials a pcb mod? I’m trying to mod my hrap 2 to xbox 360 and I can’t seem to find pcb mod instructions anywhere.
Edit: Nevermind, I got one off Amazon.
I have another question though. How can you take the ball off the joystick? does it just unscrew because whenever I rotate it, it doesn’t get any looser. Does the cover have to be taken off the shaft of the stick to do this? If so, how can I take the cover off?
Sorry If this has been answered before, but it was a long long read and didn’t found the answer inside this 50 pages thread.
What are this kind of screws called? Those at the corners

I thiiiiiiiiink they’re called rounded bolts, but don’t know for sure. I’m building a case and I want to use those kind of screws used in HRAPs on the top because 1) the buttons are snap-ins and they won’t hold the metal plate and the acrylic on position just by their own and 2) I don’t want any kind of sharp screw head showing at the top of my new stick as it looks ugly and maybe even dangerous because those suckers can cut your skin.
I thought this will be the right place to ask, as it is filled with info from HRAP experts
You have to open the case and unscrew the balltop from the bottom of the stick.
Use a screwdriver to hold the screw in place so that the shaft doesn’t rotate. Then you can unscrew the balltop.
Does anyone have the original picture shown in the “Changing HRAP1 Ver. B button” section in the OP? It’s just a thumbnail currently.
Read my HRAP2 modding tutorial if you want to mod the buttons. Same process. The only thing you can’t do is change out the stick with an LS-32 or something that is mounted similarly.
