Hori Real Arcade Pro FAQ for all versions

lol thank you again tingboy

Heh no problem

May I suggest that Kyoji updates the first post and add info on the HRAP3 and 3SA. So I and maybe others don’t have to dig through the forums for an hour to find out that the HRAP3 doesn’t support a ls-32! >_<

I haven’t been keeping up, but the HRAP3 doesn’t support the LS-32 due to the altered mounting area?

And can I have links to the new HRAP3 SA? I remember seeing that it went with a six button rather than eight button layout. The two most right buttons are plugged up.

And I still have to do more trials on the ASID converter. lol

And yeah the mounting area on the HRAP3 is more or less… actually I think it is the same as the HRAP1v2. I saw a picture of it and thats what it seemed like to me. Bummer considering the HRAP3 is the second best design hori has come up with, love to mod it with a ls-32.

Hopefully the 3SA will have an ls-32 friendly mounting area. Does anyone know if the HRAP1SA had an ls-32 mounting area? Although if there is going to be 3SE then I guess ls-32 enthusiasts could wait?

Hori I’m disappointed either way

X-Joybox?

I haven’t seen anyone mention the X-Joybox converter

Does it work with the US T5 Hori?

I can’t seem to find the magic box or dragon box adapters.

hori sticks wtb in the toronto area?

anyone know where i can get a hori stick in toronto or pacific mall? i’m in town 4 a cpl of days and figure next week it’ll be easier padding my stick collection up there than ordering from play-asia…

Sorry about the noob question, but what is the difference about these versions:

^the stick

The first one uses sanwa which is one of the best stick out there. The second one uses a cheaper less durable sanwa clone stick. Th buttons are the same…

The top one is larger than the second one. First one uses a sanwa JLF-TP-8K which is an awesome stick and hori buttons. The Second one uses hori stick and buttons. Pretty much the second one is a budget stick, while the first one has a real arcade stick. For the first one If you want a full real arcade stick all you have to do is buy 8 Sanwa OBSF-30 or Seimitsu PS-14-G buttons and swap em out with the hori buttons. Easy mod since it uses quick disconnects.

anyone know were u can get buttons now since all shops at the front page seem dead…i need sanwa buttons for my HRAP ver b

I got my buttons for my hrap2 at www.lizardlick.com

Anyone knows a site where can i get a Hori Real Arcade Pro 1/2?
I wanted to buy it from here:
http://high-scoreonline.com/store/
but their out of stock><
any clue if their going to restock?
I really don’t wanna buy it from ebay if theres no other choice):
and theres still something i don’t understand, I read the first page but i didn’t say whats better only the difference between them
if i have the opportunity to get a HRAP1 or HRAP2
which one would be a better choice to buy?
Or is there really no difference between them except when you modify them?
i just might get the first version from a known net shop or should i wait and try to find the second version or get it from ebay…
thanks

Anyone here know the size for stick art that can be placed on a Namco stick?

ok, my hrap’s circuit board is fried. can i replace it with a dualshock 2 one?

of course you can ^^^

YAY!
thanks, bra!

Well, you can, but it’s difficult. I dont think anyone’s written a guide for it yet. It can be done, but you’d have to figure it out yourself.

Now a DualShock 1, that’s easy. The analog buttons on the DS2 make it tricky.

Alright, I’ll try the DS1 then, though I do have some busted DS2s that I’d rather use, I’m pretty inexperienced at this and the easier the better. Is there anywhere I can get a quick explanation? I just need to know where to plug the wires from the buttons into the circuit board really, right? Oh, and I don’t need turbo if that’s harder or impossible to implement.
