Ok. I’ve been doing some major searching and after seeing this thread: http://forums.shoryuken.com/showthread.php?t=151350&page=21, post #523 by Kitsune707 and I think I have an answer. Am I to believe by looking at the 9th pic in his post that we would still have to remove the bottom plate of a HRAP 2 SA, HRAP 3 SA or HRAP EX-SE anyway in order to secure the top plate back on once the hex bolts are unscrewed? I thought the special edition HRAPs were supposed to be easy access from the top? Looking at this picture it appears as if the nut securing the hex bolt underneath the top plate would fall to the base of the HRAP, therefore you would need to take off the bottom anyway…
No, all you have to do to open up the SE/SA sticks is loosen and remove the hex bolts from the top panel on the outside. The nut is held in by…something…I don’t recall specifically, but I opened one of mine up from the bottom once to look, and I recall vaguely that it was a specific plastic molding piece around the nut that couldn’t be easily duplicated on the non-SE/SA stick housings, but don’t hold me to that, it’s been a few months. To the point - you do not have to open the bottom plate to get at the guts in the SE/SA sticks.
I’m trying to duplicate that very piece then…can you or anyone else posty a pic of that piece please?

Hm, I placed a preorder on Amazon due to the fact you don’t pay until it’s shipped and $7 2nd day air shipping. But if there’s a month differential in ship dates I may be tempted to just plunk down the $175 @ AShock ($28 shipping + Tax).
Amazon won’t ship this internationally and ArcadeShock require immediate payment just to preorder it, along with $65 USD to ship anywhere outside of America. Is there somewhere more reputable to purchase from?
Arcade Shock is pretty legit. I pre-ordered an HRAP EX from them and it came earlier than they had expected.
Except there’s 62 days until the 10th of September when it’s released, and ArcadeShock require you to make the full payment just to preorder the stick. If I use PayPal, there’s only 45 days to claim from when you’ve paid.
Yeah, no. Paying the full amount just to preorder is bullshit. It’s bad enough that their shipping is $65 USD to my location. I’d like to know if there’s any other sites out there that are taking preorders for this item, and don’t require full payment just to preorder.
It’s real. Hori is taking the launch of T6 very seriously, and as such for the first time will be launching their HRAP EX SE and HRAP3: SA in the US. It’ll be the first time an all sanwa/seimitisu HORI stick will be sold in the US without importing. :wgrin:
Which is why I pre-ordered a EX-SE and a HRAP3-SA PS3. I love my PS3 TE to death, but I need a 360 stick (and I’ve never used a Semitsu stick or buttons!) and a second PS3 stick so I figured what the hell, I’d try something different.
