Hori Real Arcade Pro 2 SA (Sanwa) Edition - Coming April 17th!

hey there, i too got my stick yesterday and just reg’d to say thanks to TRNG for making such an item available to people not living in moonland(i’m that guy from greece).

it really feels amazing to play on, even though i’m more used to pads. only thing missing is a coin slot :stuck_out_tongue:

wish i had moar time to enjoy it ;_:

Okay, I finally got mine. Here’s a short commented story… enjoy

1.)The box is here and we can see a Chinese Talisman for safe travel attached to the site. Many thanks to the priest, it protected the contents nicely:

2.)Postal terror, the package was torn to shreds and reassembled, as the yellow duty customs tape shows:

3.)Finally, the content. Two sticks, one for me, one for the shelf. Glad since one side had no newspaper stuffed in :lovin:

Just kidding, the 2nd one is for a friend. :wgrin:

4.)Actually, it seems the Sushi Prince sponsored this shipment. Still expensive…

5.)The package looks nice and it’s clearly shown where you can exlusively buy this from… well, almost. Thanks Per.

6.)The stick in the nude

7.)Hmmm, how is this fixed this time around? (hint: allen wrench, from the top)

8.)There’s still the square holes for the original fastening bolts

9.)Same internals, with q-tips and Seimtsu bracket

10.)Now, hot n new with LS-32 and the bubble top

11.)The bubble ball is SO sexy :lovin:

A bit to ease the wait for some… or to egg them on, depending on your type :wgrin:

Cya.

i’ve never modded a stick before, is it very diffcult to stick a seimitsu in?

 Very nice of you to post pics, sorry about the dent. Nice to see people modding them already.

Follow they “tutorial” above and nothing will go wrong. It is easy as cake :).

Actually, easy as pie. I followed thsi tutorial: http://forums.shoryuken.com/showthread.php?t=132472

Oh, and instead of rotating the PCB you can simply rotate the LS-32-01 mounting bracket 90 degrees (as told later in the article, just so you don’t miss it). Also, the first time screwing in the screws for the Seimitsu will take some force since the screws have to cut their own winding first. You can first simply put in the mounting screws once for the inding to cut, take them out again and then mount the Seimitsu. At least that’s what I did.

It’s very easy.

Hello, I was also wanting to mount a Ls-32 in my HRAP once it arrives. So do you rotate the mounting plate on the actual joystick or the one thats on the HRAP case? Sorry for my ignorance, i’m a Happ stick player trying to convert :shy:

USPS tracking service is the pits. Nice pics by the way!

Hey, no problem. And yes, the one on the stick. The one in the HRAP case is welded to the plate, have fun rotating that. :razzy:

Thanks alot!

I LOVE YOU CUSTOMS it arrived today in helsinki and they keep sending it back to customs instead of here.
IDIOTS.

EDIT: its in sorting so if they dont do anything stupid i will have it tomorrow

Got my stick today, around Noon.

THANKS!

:tup::tup::tup::tup::tup:

my stick is waiting at home for me!

i can’t wait to try it

Finally came. Thanks a ton, TRNG.

I find playing on the HRAP 2 SA better. The face plate seems to be made of plexiglass as opposed to a big overlay sticker like the HRAP 3.

I must say, the new bolts are so nice. I hate having to take apart the HRAP 3 now.

Here are the not so alike twins. I wish button hole plugs came in different colors.

^ you copied my HRAP2 color scheme :arazz:. Any who the sticks came out great. Good luck with your stick building/modding ventures :woot:.

Direct comparison with a modded HRAP2 standard:

I’ve actually come to appreciate the orange on the rapid fire switches as it adds a nice touch, but I think the white text on the SA is definitely nicer.

He, I now switched the stick back to the JLF, stretched it’s spring a bit (not too much) and put in an octangonal gate.

For 2D fighters, I must say this combination is by far my favourite. Everything comes so… naturally.

The LS-32 is great and tight bit feels… strict for 2D fighters. It was awesome for SHMUPS(Touhou) though. Ah well, you can only have one.

P.S:at first I overstretched the JLF spring, then I felt like the stick was holding me back and slowing me down. Also felt like a slight chore moving it. So I had to recompress it a bit.

kitsune, if you prefer a stronger spring in your jlf you can put in a seimitsu spring over the sanwa one. realneogeo uploaded a tut on how to do it.

I know, but where to get one? I wont order for just a spring where the shipping is more expensive. And I didn’t succeed in taking apart the LS32, the ring is nigh impossible to get off. It was easy with the Sanwa.

So for now I stuck with this quick mod and once I need something else again, I will order JLF springs and LS-33 springs for modding.

It is sooooooooooo nice to see people getting their sticks :D.

I can order some and ship to you cheap if you want? They dont weigh anything anyways. The least I can do for my customers.

You want one LS-33 spring and one LS-55 spring, so you can test it ^_^.
Send me a PM if you are interested.

got mine in yesterday but i was too busy playing to post!

it feels so nice to use it, i can’t believe i ever used a controller or a happ stick ?_?
