If thats true then the VLX Diamond could end up costing $500.00 +. I’m not sure I am going to pursue importing this one. Oh well… Hoping for some sort of NA variant.
I’m estimating $470 for one.
Thanks for editing the thread name d3v or MarkMan
It was me. And np ^.^
I know this is a thread about the vlx Diamond but did you ever pick up the hoon stick? It’s like the baller vlx
just use the shipping address and phone number they give you, it will include your tenso membership #. i’m assuming when your package arrives there you get an email and you pay them for the shipping. Then boom. Stick arrives at your place. I hope its that simple.
It will probably be around $500 total.
so be it, if you want one and are going to pay the money you will end up paying around the same if you order it off of a website that imports sticks or ebay.
That’s true. If you want this stick, your gonna have to pay up.
yep unfortunately.
If you go through Tenso then it’s going to be:
$378 + 15% service fee = ~$437 plus (at least) $150 EMS. So by the time it’s all said & done, expect to pay ~$600 - $625 (plus customs fee). Checkout this link for the service fee:
http://www.tenso.com/en/agent/index.html
Sometimes you gotta pay to play so anybody that’s expecting to pay less than $500 is dreaming (unless they have a friend, etc. in Japan shipping over here like MarkMan). And I’ve never seen Hori USA release an Amazon Japan exclusive stick over here but someone correct me if I’m wrong.
BTW, even for pre-orders such as this, once you place your order with Tenso, they have to charge you upfront THEN they’ll place the pre-order on Amazon Japan’s website (even though Amazon won’t charge them until it ships). Once they get it in their warehouse, they’ll email you to confirm shipping cost from them to you. As soon as you pay that 2nd cost then they ship to you.
Well… count me out guys. This one is just insanely out of reach for me. I paid $500 for both of my OG VLX’s combined and I thought that was expensive! LOL
Actually, there is a slightly cheaper alternative using Tenso.
Amazon.co.jp takes foreign credit cards (I order from there all the time). If you register with Tenso, they can provide you a shipping address.
Since Amazon ships for free within its own region, you buy it yourself with your own credit card, shipping it to your Tenso-provided address. Then it’s the same thing; they’ll re-label the box and ship it out to you once you pay for the EMS shipping costs from them to you.
That way, you don’t need to pay the additional whatever-percent markup for the commission fees.
Thanks for being the voice of reason, darksakul
If it comes stateside, I’m really going to have to fight myself to abstain from picking one up…
any one got an idea of what parts of the tenso address go where in to the shipping form on amazon?
the whole thing, the zip code is obviously the #'s, then the rest goes in the address bar, including your TS #. They are in Tokyo
We should really contact Hori and see if they can bring this stateside… Aren’t they located in SoCal?
Amazon.jp exclusive They have a contract with them for it to only to be sold through them. someone already emailed them and they told them its not going to happen
Ugh. That’s the price of a B15 custom shipped to the US.
