Hori Hayabusa Stick loose?

Hey,

I have noticed that my Hayabusa Stick from the Real Arcade Pro N is a bit loose and I don’t mean the strength of the spring. I can move the stick about 2mm in any direction and it just stays there in position and is not being activated. While actually playing the snapback itself is tight (2lb spring).

I’m pretty sure it has something to do with the “half ball” “round bowl” or “cam”… I don’t know the name of it, in this picture it is named “cam”: Link.
On this picture the upper side of the cam is in one line with the housing and the bottom part is about 0,5cm away from the bottom line of the housing (just look at the picture). In my case it’s the opposite, the top of the cam is about 0,5cm inside the housing. This might be the reason the stick is loose, but how can I change this?
The Cam is always slipping down if I deconstruct it and put it back together. And I already hear that the cam is a bit loose inside the housing.

Sorry for my engrish and I hope someone could give me a hint.

That’s normal. Don’t let it bother you

Damn, I hoped there might be a solution. Thanks for the answer.

It’s normal in small proportion when it’s new, if you’re using it with dried lubrication then it will gets worse. So if it’s new, don’t let it bother you but if your HBS has more than 1 year just start to worry about the preservation of the pivot cylinder and check if the pivot and housing needs some relubrication. (use quality silicone grease)

That’s a good idea, I remember those parts being very greasy about a year ago and they are pretty dry now.

I’m going to try that out, thanks!

It won’t fix the actual wobble but it will prevent from a worst situation. You’re welcome.

Just a little update: it worked really well. The transition feels much smoother. I guess I need to grease these parts every now and then. Thanks again.
